- About the Author
Peter Felix (Harbinger's real name, did you know?) was arrested and convicted of nine counts of voluntary manslaughter, and one count of first degree murder. I don't know how it all works. He didn't go to sentencing. They found him dead in his cell. Kind of figures, doesn't it? But he won't be around to hurt anyone and I think that's more important than anything.
We go to the bridge every week and miss you.
Once upon a time, I lost everything and I was so alone. The sadness, the hurt, it all seemed so infinite. When you're wandering alone in a storm, you can't see the end, or if there even is one, and how close it might be.
I'm still wandering, but maybe I don't feel so lost now.
I'll keep trying. I promise.

Acknowledgments
Of everything I've yet to write, this book was the hardest.
I get very attached to my characters, and to really express what they're feeling (even when they, themselves, don't know how to express it) is draining and heartbreaking. This book isn't meant to preach or to school, but simply to follow the journey of those who could be saved...and those who could not.
As always, a thank you to my beta readers: Nyrae Dawn, Christa Desir, and Jolene Perry. I'm so humbled to have such talented writers and friends who take the time to read my work to both praise it and help me make it the best it can be.
Thank you to everyone who helped in all the other ways, be it with reviews, cover reveals, or simply telling a friend to help spread the word. For indie authors, there truly is nothing that helps us more than the kindness of people like you.
It's been angsty, fun, and—I hope—will leave you thinking for a bit.
Cheers,
Kelley York
About the Author
Once upon a time, Kelley York was born in central California. And it's there she still resides with her lovely wife, step-daughter, and an abundance of cats, while fantasizing about moving to England or Ireland. She has a fascination with bells and animals, is a lover of video games, Doctor Who, manga and anime, and likes to pretend she’s a decent photographer. Her life goal is to find a real unicorn. Or at least write about them.
Kelley is a sucker for dark fiction. She loves writing twisted characters, tragic happenings, and bittersweet endings that leave you wondering and crying. Character development takes center stage in her books because the bounds of a person's character and the workings of their mind are limitless.
