- About the Author
But instead of changing her mind and begging me…she frowned. “Yeah, I hear you make out with Pete’s waitresses on New Year’s Eve when you’re wasted.”
Her words were slow to filter through my brain. What I’d been waiting for her to say was, Oh God, please, Kellan, yes…take me. Then all bets were off, all clothes were off. But instead, she wanted to talk about New Year’s Eve and Pete’s waitresses? Did she mean herself? Because we’d never kissed on New Year’s. And fuck, we still wouldn’t. I’d be gone.
“What?” I asked, wishing I hadn’t remembered that.
She struggled with my hand again. “Kate, you ass. You never told me you almost had sex with her…Jenny too.”
Kate? I never…oh wait…yeah, I think I did. Huh. But like she said, I hadn’t been successful. With either of them. I rolled my eyes at her comment. “I never got anywhere near sex with Jenny. She said no. And Kate…doesn’t count.”
Her face came right into mine; it took me a moment to refocus on her. God, she was beautiful. Why were we talking about other women again? When I had my hand on her privates and all she had to do was ask me to lift my finger and satisfy her? “What do you mean she doesn’t count?” she asked.
“Almost doesn’t count,” I told her. If we were going to add that number to my list, well, fuck, I wasn’t sure I could count that high. Especially now.
Annoyed by my answer, Kiera finally successfully pulled my hand out of her pants. I ached with the loss. So close…and yet so far. And now I was going to have a stomachache. My own damn fault, I supposed. Trying to take Kiera in the back room had never worked out well for me. But, still hoping she’d change her mind, I gave her sad, pity-me eyes and a pathetic, I-need-you pout. She just smiled and shook her head. “What am I going to do with you?”
My grin returned as I stared at her pants. “I could think of a few things.” Just how annoyed would she be if I put my hand back?
Maybe sensing that I might try to seduce her again if she didn’t get me out of here, she turned me around and pushed me toward the door. Guess it’s not happening after all. I let out a disappointed sigh, and Kiera started laughing. “What’s so funny?” I asked, frowning. Blue balls were no joking matter.
The look on my face amused her even more. “Well, Casanova…since you are obviously living it up on your night, guess what I get to do later?”
That was an invitation in my book. Twisting around, I pressed into her again. “Me?”
