Adele had been seeing Glynn for a few weeks. She had spent the past few hours in the club with Glynn, drinking wine, dancing and having fun, and now she was tipsy. When Glynn suggested they went upstairs for a bit of privacy she went willingly.
Once they were inside her office, she shut the door and walked over to him. They began to kiss passionately, their hands exploring each other’s bodies. Adele felt a tingle as Glynn put his hands inside her top and caressed her nipples through the flimsy material of her bra. Then he moved his hands round to her back, and slipped them down to her buttocks, which he clasped firmly.
When Adele responded with a low moan, Glynn slid his hands down her thighs, lifted her skirt and pulled down her underwear. He raised his hands to her buttocks once more then lifted her and placed her on the edge of the desk. Within no time, he had dropped his pants and flung her legs wide. Then he entered her. It was over in a matter of seconds, leaving Adele deflated.
During the few weeks since Adele had started seeing Glynn their relationship had changed and she had learnt a lot about him. Gone was the contrition he had shown after he had shot a man to death. Instead she was noticing that he had a menacing air about him when he was dealing with people in the club. It was carefully disguised but, nevertheless, it was there.
His threats were veiled, his intimidation manifested through a hard stare, narrowed eyes or a screwed-up face when things weren’t going his way. Despite this, Adele was drawn to him, and in some ways, the fact that he was so powerful was a bit of a turn-on for her.
But she was beginning to realise that the relationship wasn’t perfect. There was the lovemaking, for example. She had thought that the urgency of their first time had been the result of the sexual tension that had built up over the preceding weeks. She expected him to slow down once they got together, to become more tender, but he hadn’t done.
Every time had been the same. There was no delicate embrace, no thoughtful caress; it was just fast and frantic with an overriding urge to satisfy himself as soon as possible.
Nevertheless, they were growing closer in other ways. She was his woman and he was very protective towards her. Their conversations were also becoming more intimate as they found out more about each other.
Adele wanted to get closer to Glynn; perhaps to achieve something that was missing in their lovemaking. As she felt the disappointing aftereffects of their brief sexual encounter, she held him tightly to her, drawing comfort from the warmth of his body.
