Leah reached for Tank’s hand. “We have our hands full, but we’re too blessed to be stressed.”

Tobias ran his hand lovingly down Madigan’s back, and she hoped one day he’d feel that way about his life.

“We got ’em!” Junie shouted as the girls sprinted into the room.

Tank scooped them up like footballs, one under each arm, and they squealed and kicked, giggling up a storm. “Papa Tank!” Junie hollered, clutching a onesie, and Rosie waved a diaper. Leah was smiling so hard she glowed, and Tank had never looked happier. It was such a magnificent sight, Madigan hoped Ashley and River were out there somewhere witnessing it.

“Toe! Save me!” Rosie shouted.

Tobias laughed. “Sorry, Rosie, but I’m no match for your Papa Tank.”

“Yes, you are,” Rosie insisted.

“No, he’s not,” Junie said sharply. “Nobody’s stronger than Papa Tank.”

“That’s right, Twitch,” Tank said as he set them down.

Junie ran to Madigan, gently petting Leo’s head. “I love my baby.”

“He loves you, too,” Madigan said.

“He’s not yours, Junie.” Rosie scrambled onto Tobias’s lap and hooked her arm around his neck. His thick arm circled her tiny body, and he kissed her head, causing Madigan to melt a little.

“Leo is all of ours,” Leah said. “Just like you two are.”

Rosie whispered loudly to Tobias, “Aunt Mads is a baby hog like Papa Tank.”

“She sure is.” Tobias stroked a hand down Madigan’s back again.

“Are you gonna have babies?” Junie asked.

Madigan almost came to his rescue, but she wanted to hear his answer.

“Not today,” he said, giving nothing away.

“We’re gonna have more babies,” Junie announced.

Madigan and Tobias looked at Leah.

Leah shook her head. “Don’t look at me. I’m not letting that man anywhere near me for at least a year.”

“You know you can’t keep your hands off me.” Tank leaned down and kissed her. “And we make beautiful babies.”

“He’s right about that,” Tobias said.

“And they’ll be just as beautiful if we wait a year to have another,” Leah said with a sweet smile.

Tank looked down at Madigan. “Okay, baby hog. Give me the little man.”

She nuzzled against the baby’s cheek, whispering, “I love you,” and handed him to his daddy.

Tank brushed kisses on Leo’s forehead, cradling him against his massive chest as the girls followed him over to the changing table.

“Do you guys want to stay for dinner?” Leah offered. “Ginger and Reba keep bringing over the most delicious meals. We can’t possibly eat them all.”

“Thanks, but I have a gig at the Scullery Maid,” Madigan said. “We really have to get going.”

“Since when are you working at that shithole?” Tank asked.

“Papa Tank said shit,” Rosie shouted from her perch on a stool beside Tank, holding a diaper at the ready.
