“I’m going to make you so wet, you won’t be able to think straight.” He traced the shell of her ear with his tongue, and a needy sigh escaped. “Are you going to wear panties?”

“No,” she said breathily.

“Good girl.” He took her in an excruciatingly deep kiss that sent lightning through her core, rendering her legs useless. “Let’s go, Blue Eyes. We’ve got a date to go on.”

He stepped back, and she remained against the car, trying to catch her breath.

A slow grin spread across his face. “This is going to be fun.”

Needing a cold shower, Madigan forced her legs to move. She was going to lose her mind well before dinner if he kept this up. She headed into her bedroom and into the closet to pick out a dress. When she came out to set her little black dress on the bed, Tobias was leaning against the bathroom doorframe shirtless, legs casually crossed at the ankle, and the shower was running. Had he changed his mind? A shiver of heat scampered through her.

“I thought you already showered.”

“I did.” He strode toward her.

“Then what are you doing?”

Without a word, he undressed her, shrouding them in a cloud of desire so thick, it prickled over her skin like hot needles with every piece of clothing he peeled off. When he sank to one knee, taking off her embarrassingly damp panties, she tingled with anticipation. He rose slowly, his mouth trailing so close to her skin, she ached for its touch. His hot breath coasted up her inner thighs, her sex, stomach, and torso, lingering between her breasts, making her pant and her sex clench needily. When he finally lifted his face, that tempting mouth a whisper away from hers, and said, “I’m going to watch you shower,” her mouth went dry.

Sweet baby Jesus.

“Let’s go, angel.”

The endearment made her heart sing, but her body was strung so tight, she could barely breathe. He motioned for her to lead the way, the heat of his stare burning through her. Why was this so freaking hot? They showered together all the time. They got naked all over her house and his apartment. But this taunting, this longing, heightened all her senses. Her stomach pulled tight, every inhalation of his potent scent bringing a wave of desire.

She reached into the shower to feel the water. It was luxuriously warm, but under Tobias’s scalding gaze, she knew that water would boil. She moved to make it colder and felt his bare chest against her back as he lowered her arm.

“Sorry, baby. No cold shower tonight.”

Scintillating sensations chased over her at his gravelly insistence. But two could play at this game. As she stepped into the shower, he leaned his ass against the counter, casually crossing his ankles, and said, “Leave the door open.”
