- About the Author
“I will always want you to grope me in the back seat when I win an Oscar—and when I don’t and when our careers are over, and when you’re carving lumps of wood and I’m drinking coffee and watching you.”
“I want that too.” He kissed her again.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Thank you, Merrill, for listening to the ups and downs of this story for three years. Your thoughtful critique has made me a better writer. I miss our days of coffee and chatting.
Lisa, thank you for being a wonderful travel companion. I hope we can fly somewhere again, talk about our favorite books, and share drinks. Your positivity is a gift.
Michelle, when you picked this book out of a pile of other Pitch Wars hopefuls, you gave me the courage to keep on going. Thank you for helping me when you didn’t have to.
Erin V., thank you for all the time you spent making this a better book. I can't wait until we can chat Captain America and eat cheesecake again.
Erin T., thank you for helping me become a better writer. The internet can't be all bad if we met and remember 10-down is ASTA.
Karen, thank you for encouraging me before you had even read a word I'd written, and I can't thank you enough for the title!
K. P., and J—what can I say? Thank you for sticking with me through all of this.
About the Author
Evie lives in the Pacific Northwest. When not working her day job, she parents ten-year old twins and writes stories, either on her laptop or in her head. Working as a lawyer has taught her many things: attention to detail, writing under a tight deadline, and powering through 100-page legal documents, but like many romance authors before her, she looks forward to leaving it behind.
