It was a beautiful garden; very tall, perfectly trimmed trees were planted on either side of the paths that were adorned with flowers of every color. The garden had lots of benches to sit and rest on, and in the middle of it all was a grand carved stone fountain emanating the calming sound of flowing water. It truly was a beautiful garden.
Why don’t we go over to the fountain... so you can listen to the calming sound of flowing water?
They heard laughter in the distance.
It was the flirty laugh of the Princess, who was surely having a great time... while we were lost.
It was, in fact, the Princess and the Prince who were walking through garden. They stood still for a second and then the Prince left. The Princess walked towards us, smiling brightly.
I’ve had a delightful afternoon! The Prince is so much fun, we talked for hours.
Yeah! Seven... to be exact.
Oh I’m sorry, time just flew by and I couldn’t think about anything else. I saw you come to the castle gate a while ago, but I didn’t want to interrupt you because you seemed to be having a very entertaining conversation.
We weren’t having a very entertaining conversation; we were arguing!
What were you arguing about?
Well... I was asking the Dragon to knock on the door and he was refusing... basically that.
The Prince has asked us to spend the night here. He has prepared rooms for all of us, and tomorrow he will offer us an elegant breakfast with delicious treats.
Sounds good to me.
Fine, it’s your story, right? Because clearly, it stopped being my story pages ago.
He’s a bit upset... don’t ask me why.
Okay, so we’ll spend the night here. Now what?
Now... nothing. Let’s go to sleep.
What? That’s it? But I just started Chapter 15.
Oh, relax, Writer! Life is wonderful. Who cares if you end the chapter here? Who cares if you need to start a new one? If only all was as simple as that. Enjoy. Trust life and don’t worry about the future. You can’t have control over everything. Relax!
But this is MY story!
I’m sure that tomorrow you’ll wake up in a better mood -- and with that said, she entered the castle with a big smile on her face.
Well... there’s really nothing we can do, right? -- The Dragon walked behind her. And the Writer was left all alone.
I have to confess... the Princess is right. Who cares if I end the chapter here? Who cares if I need to start a new one? If only all was as simple as that. The truth is, the Princess is very happy, and I am really liking this story. And... since there seems to be more to tell, I will see you in Chapter 16, dear Reader.
