Anything outside of my original story is beyond my control.

Do you mean that you only have control over me and the Dragon?

I think so.

Well, it doesn’t look like it. I mean, the facts paint a very different picture -- said the suspicious Dragon.

I know that, Dragon... just to get things straight: I can write a warm morning for the Princess, I can make clothes for both of you, I can… I don’t know... take care of certain details, I can even change some things, but there will be many other things that I won’t be able to change and we will all have to figure them out together as best as we can to get through this.

Princess, aren’t you getting an overwhelming urge to go back to the tower? At least there we know what’s going to happen.

Well, yeah, I guess so.

I can’t believe it.

What?

You’ve made such a fuss, you broke out of my storyline, completely disregarded my authority, ridiculed me in the eyes of the reader and you’ve proven that the scary Dragon of Fear is almost afraid of his own shadow.

Hey!

It’s true, Dragon, you’re not as scary as you seemed at first.

See? You’ve conquered The Dragon of Fear, you’re at the gate that leads into the world that you desired for so long and now you are about to give up and go back to lock yourself in the tower?

Well... yes -- said the Princess sadly. -- I thought I was stronger.

She let out a deep sigh, turned around and walked towards the tower. She was hunched over and it made the Writer think that she was carrying the weight of the whole world on her shoulders.

...THE END.

The Princess stopped in her tracks.

How can I survive in a world that I can’t control? -- she asked with deep sorrow.

A particular buzzing caught the attention of the Dragon.

What’s that?

The Dragon, looking cross-eyed, saw a little speck land on his nose.

A bee! Nobody move and I won’t be harmed!

Dragon, please, how much damage can a bee do to you?

A lot -- said the little insect. -- I happen to be The Bee of Desire and Curiosity.

The Writer was surprised. Actually, he was kind of baffled!

And where did you come from?

From the same place that everything else comes from, -- said the bee -- from life.

The Princess turned to look at the Writer, he just shrugged. -- Okay, this story is now really out of my control -- he said, giving up.

You don’t know this bee?

This is the first time I’ve ever seen it in my life. I never wrote a bee in my original story.
