- About the Author
He watched her closely to make sure he hadn’t gone too far. The way her pupils dilated, even under the bright lights, and the way she sagged in place, like her spine had gone limp at the bold suggestion, indicated that he had not. She had climbed off him in order to get her swimsuit bottoms off, but he had been enjoying the view when she’d been straddling him, so he reached over his head for his backpack, extracted a condom, and grabbed her hand. “Come back here.”
She settled herself back on his upper thighs and started stroking his dick. He shuddered and forced himself not to close his eyes. He didn’t want to miss anything. Her nails were painted pale blue, like the sky, and he was riveted by those little splashes of blue against his reddened flesh. A breathy little sigh had him transferring his attention to her face to make sure she was okay. She was staring at his dick, too, and she bit down on her upper lip and did the sighing thing again, as if she liked what she saw.
He reached up for her left breast—she was right when she’d said We learn. We get better—and was rewarded with one of those moans he loved. He was afraid he wasn’t going to last very long, so he used his other hand to find her clit and press along the side of it.
“Sawyer,” she gasped as he pressed against her.
“Put the condom on me, Evie.”
She looked dazed as she lurched forward, reaching for the foil packet next to him on the towel. He adjusted as best he could to keep his ministrations continuous.
She was clumsy as she unrolled it on his length, and as she sighed and said, “Oh my God, I can’t wait,” his heart turned over.
This was so good. He loved making Evie Abbott clumsy and limp. “Climb on and ride me, Evie.”
And he was inside her. Inside Evie Abbott. Like no time had passed and like a lifetime had passed.
We learn. We get better.
He kept going with both nipple and clit the way he’d learned she’d liked.
“That’s right, Evie. Come all over my dick, and then I’m going to come inside you.”
And she did.
And he did, too.

Chapter Twenty-Two
If the sex hadn’t already undone him, their postcoital chat would have.
After Sawyer got rid of the condom and Evie slumped on his chest with what he was pretty sure was a happy sigh, she suddenly said, “Do you know why I was always afraid to swim?”
