“No, I’m not.” Rylan was on my other side, picking up one of my hands and weaving our fingers together, and I scented Avery somewhere behind me. “Where’s Ben?”
“His parents are buried here, too. He’s paying his respects.”
It caused a whole new flood of tears, and I tried unsuccessfully to blink them back. “It was the article,” I told them. “I needed to see him. Not that he can hear me, but I needed to do it. I didn’t expect it to be this hard.”
Rylan squeezed my hand. “When you feel like you can, I’d love to hear about him.”
“Okay.”
Kade’s arms came around my chest. “Come home, baby.”
I nodded, and he lifted me to my feet and then into his arms. Ben joined us, and we didn’t need to say anything to each other to understand the twin pain we felt.
One of them held me all the way home, all the way up the stairs, and all the way into my nest. No words were needed, just the warmth of their presence and the sound of their purrs.

CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT
________
ESME
“I feel like I haven’t seen you in days,” Luke breathed into my neck.
“You haven’t, really,” I pointed out.
The exciting news Rylan teased me with was a screen test. Eva had been putting things together behind the scenes, and the test was scheduled for right after she was back so producers could get an idea of how everyone interacted, and if the energy they brought was something they were interested in filming.
The five of them had been distracted for the last week getting ready. Everything revolved around it, getting the studio ready, managing the equipment needed, paperwork, their actual clients, and casual rehearsals.
Which meant less sex for me.
Not zero.
It had been raining all week, so when we were home, we were inside and not going anywhere else.
Ben and Rylan pulled me down to the pool and took turns teasing me with the underwater jets and their tongues before they took me together. A game of pool turned into all five of them fucking me on the table, and probably ruining the surface of it forever.
But it was less with the distraction of what was coming. And I understood it. This was an incredible opportunity, and I wanted it for them just as much as they wanted it. But I also wanted it to be over.
“Well,” he said with a grin. “I have you now.”
I looked up from under my lashes at him. “What are you going to do with me?”
Luke rubbed his thumb over my lower lip. “That’s a dangerous question, little Omega.”
“Is it?”
“You remember what I told you would happen?”
A shiver of anticipation ran down my spine. “Seeing how far down the rabbit hole I wanted to go.”
