You always buy a woman naked, of course. Only a fool buys a clothed woman. If she stands before you in a behind-the-neck restraint, order her freed of it, that you may better assess her. You can always have her turn before you, slowly, head back, hands clasped behind her head. If you are alone with the slave and her seller, you have an excellent opportunity to examine her, better than if she stood some distance from you, on the block. Order her to walk and move before you, and to lie down, and rise, and kneel, and look over her shoulder, etc. You can tell a great deal from such simple things. Also, stand before her, hold her by the arm, and look down into her eyes. You will then sense the chemistry between you. Look carefully into her eyes, she in your grip. Do her eyes tell you that she fears you, or that you excite her, against her will, or that she will try, desperately, to resist you? Feel her body, her ankles, her calves, the ass of her, her belly, her breasts, her throat. Do you like the feel of her? What is the length and condition of her hair? Long hair, other things being equal, is desirable. There is more that can be done with it. Open her mouth and examine her teeth. You can tell much of the slave’s condition from her teeth. Be rough with her; she expects it; she is property; if she senses the least weakness in you she will attempt to exploit it, to dominate you; she cannot help herself; she is a woman. Examine her candidly; is she young enough to have a good resale value? How many masters has she had? Why did her last master sell her? Was she a bred slave or a capture? If she was bred, what is the reputation of the house that bred her? What sort of training do they give her? If she is a capture, what sort of training, if any, has she received? What is her general background, if of free birth? What, roughly, is her intelligence? Can she cook, iron, clean, wash, sew, etc.? Has she been taught to serve foods and wines? (You might wish to use her as a table slave, as well as a sex slave.) You are not rich, and perhaps you can afford only one girl. Accordingly you wish to make a sound purchase, and, considering possible resale, a good investment. You can also see if she can dance. Not all girls can. You should also, while holding her arm, gently move your finger on her clitoris. This is to test her responsiveness. If the merchant, in a private sale, does not permit this, he is not a bona fide dealer. Lastly, if the merchant is willing (this varies from merchant to merchant), try her out, to see if she is any good. If the girl seems, on the whole, acceptable, you may purchase her. Be sure to receive a bill of sale, and her registration papers, suitably endorsed. Little then remains but to lock her in slave cuffs, hood her, put her on a leash, and take her home. At your threshold you unhood her and remove the leash. You leave the cuffs on her; then you throw her to your shoulder and carry her into your home. This is a symbolic act, indicative that she is captive; it is done even though she was purchased. The first thing you do with her inside is to beat her, and then use her. Later she may be set about her work. She must learn from the first instant that you are her master; and that she is complete slave.
