“Just let me worry about that,” Torija said.
“Nuh-uh. That’s not how this blood bond thing between us is going to be. I want to know what’s happening in that brain of yours.”
Daisy’s incessant questions were going to make it difficult to leave her at her grandmother’s, but that was exactly what had to be done.
Torija flipped Daisy onto her back. “Let’s just say I have some information about someone that he would pay a lot more than a plane ride for.”
Now to distract her. Just as Daisy was about to speak and no doubt ask more questions, Torija kissed her deeply on the lips until Daisy moaned. To Torija’s delight, Daisy took her hand and placed it on her breast and encouraged her to squeeze.
Torija loved Daisy’s breasts and hungered to put her mouth on them. She pulled back from the kiss and said, “Do you want me to make you come?”
“Yes, while you feed on my neck.”
Torija again got a flashback to her dream, where Daisy’s neck was ripped to shreds. She couldn’t feed from her there, not now.
“No, I want something better. You know, a vampire can feed from more than your neck and wrist…”
“No. Where?” Daisy said breathily.
Torija smiled, disappeared under the covers, and Daisy gasped in surprise.
Chapter Fifteen
Drasas took her seat beside Anka in the back of her limousine. Asha leaned in and said, “I’ll report in when I locate the target.”
“Thank you, Asha.”
“Where is Asha going, Madam?”
Anka twisted the ever present gold ring with the purple stone in it on her finger. “Just a little side mission. Nothing for you to worry about at the moment.”
“And where are we going?” Drasas didn’t have much power over the way things were going now, but she would. Anka promised, and she’d follow her anywhere.
“One of my people on the ground has discovered the location of an old adversary of mine. A man I have been seeking for quite a long while. Your former Principe led one of my witches there.”
Drasas turned around in her seat. “Victorija?”
“Yes, she took her little woman to visit the Reaper. Have you heard of the Reapers?”
“Yes, they come to take the dead to the other side, like the Valkyries of old. Victorija met the one for our region, I think, a few times. I never did.”
“I’ve been looking for this Reaper for a long time. He helped trap me some years ago, and it was a long time till I got out again,” Anka said.
“How did Victorija know where to find him?”
“Gilbert Dred, I believe, went to him once, about his own blood bond with his wife.”
“That was before my time, and Victorija didn’t share that information with me, I can assure you,” Drasas said.
