Similarly, it’s likely Tabby would have been in and out of hospital far more quickly than she was, given that her procedure was laparoscopic. But then Bren wouldn’t have had his Encanto moment, would he? And we all needed that.
So thank you for humouring me. God damn, I loved every second of writing this book!
I’d like to say a huge thank you to the following:
Susie Tate and Rosa Lucas for not only beta reading but workshopping the heck out of this book. They low-key bullied me to ramp up both the betrayal and the grovelling (you can thank Susie for the Brendan-sleeping-on-the-floor scene) and talked through lots of tricky parts with me, as well as cheerleading and validating me along the way. They’re the best, and if you haven’t read their books yet, then I suggest you dive straight in. Having two of my favourite authors workshop this one was SO much fun!
Thank you also to Jennifer Brooks Brown for beta reading, Esther Kiburi for proof-reading, and to my wonderful ARC team for being just as skilled at picking up those last typos as they are at feeding my praise kink.
Last but not least, thank you to my lovely Nerds who continue to show up for me on Facebook.
Thank you for reading! This job is a blast, and you make it possible.
Elodie

Have You Read Audacity?
★★★★★ "
YOU ARE NOT READY FOR AUDACITY!!! This book is straight-up FIRE
." readbyS, Goodreads
I've always shot for the moon, but if you'd told me I'd be earning seven figures aged twenty-four, I would never have believed you.
And if you'd told me that I'd earn every penny of that success by selling my body and my soul, I'd have laughed in your face.
Still. Here I am at Seraph, an elite agency that recruits only the most well-educated, accomplished and discreet women.
Our area of expertise? "Full service" executive assistants to the most powerful men in the world.
Whatever our bosses need, we provide. Day or night, in the boardroom or the bedroom.
It's every bit the challenge I've longed for, and it's more fulfilling than I could ever have dreamt. My secret? Discipline. An open mind. And rock-solid boundaries.
None of which are a problem, until I cross paths with Gabriel Sullivan, a former Catholic priest turned billionaire CEO whose appetites are voracious as his demons are relentless.
In the midst of all his inner turmoil and outer pressures, I know it's my very impassiveness that he values the most.
Too bad he's the only man I've worked for who makes me want to burn every one of my boundaries to ash.
Audacity is a scorching hot billionaire, age gap, workplace romance spun off from my Alchemy series. It's the story of Athena, Anton Wolff's "full service" executive assistant in Unveil.
