The thought arcs through my mind like a bolt of lightning. It feels like two worlds colliding—my old life smashing into my new one—and I’m caught right in the middle of it all. Aaron is pretty much the last person I want to see, much less standing in the office doorway where the desk is the only thing stopping him from seeing what Declan is doing to me. What Declan is doing so incredibly well.

Thankfully, Declan heard me say Aaron’s name, so he’s not moving.

Aaron stopped in the doorway when I said his name, and I can’t get up without giving myself away, so I just gesture for him to stay where he is. He shoots me an annoyed look but remains in place, and I feel my heart thudding in my chest. Declan’s tongue remains perfectly still against my most sensitive spot, the heat of his mouth a delicious torture.

“What are you doing here?” I ask, doing my best to keep my voice even and natural sounding, but it still comes out a little shaky. And a little more forceful than it probably should be. But I can’t help it. Not only did he stop by my workplace without warning, he did it just as Declan was about to make me fall apart—and I’m anxious to get back to that.

Whatever he wants, just act normal and get him to leave as soon as possible.

“Do you need something?” I ask, raising my brows. “Because I’m actually finishing up some wo—”

I break off with a sharp inhale as Declan’s tongue slides against my clit, teasing the piercing and making me flinch as my heart jumps right into my throat. A bolt of pleasure shoots through me, and I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from moaning. It takes everything I have not to let the sensations I’m feeling show on my face or in my body language.

Aaron stares at me quizzically for a moment, but I can’t tell if it’s because he’s trying to decide how to answer my question or if he noticed that something seems off about me. I’m really, really hoping it’s the former.

“I thought I’d find you here,” he says, not really answering my question. Then he sighs and takes a step forward.

I tense up, my heart steadily clawing its way up my throat, thumping hard.

Thump. He’s going to see. Thump. He’s going to tell my parents. Thump. He’s going to ruin everything. Thump. Just like he always does.
