Speaking of which, I’d like to tell all the readers out there how thrilled I’ve been at you reaching out to personally tell me how much you’ve enjoyed the Alyssa Wyatt series. It never ceases to put a huge smile on my face… especially when you tell me you’ve somehow connected with her or any of the other characters. Thank you, also, for sharing your love of Alyssa with all your friends and family. I’m so glad you’ve taken to her as much as I have. She embodies so much of the strength and compassion I admire in others.
Please continue reaching out by getting in touch with (or following) me in any of the ways listed below.
Sincerely,
Charly Cox

As always, I have many people to thank for helping me along the way. So, I’ll get straight to it.
A very special thank you goes to my incredible nephew Peter Romero, the most avid, enthusiastic hunter I know. As a vegetarian (or pescatarian every once in a while), I know less than nothing about the fine intricacies of hunting, and Peter spent a long (long) time answering my vast array of (probably strange) questions (sometimes the same ones) about when, what, where a person could go hunt at what time of year, what time of day was best, and what did a person use to hunt specific things… oh, and why did they use them, and what happens after the hunt. Then he spent even more time making sure I understood what he was saying. It was crazily fascinating stuff. Not only did I learn quite a bit, but it was also great fun listening to all his stories. I may not be ready to go hunting yet, but I think Officer Tony White and Peter would get along splendidly.
Another special thank you goes to Mary McAfee. From the hallways of DRMS, you’ve gone from co-worker to friend to someone I turn to when I just need a mother’s advice. You are always ready with a hug, to lend an ear, and to share your words of wisdom and encouragement. Thank you for always continuing to support me.
I’d also like to thank Jennie Ayres, a most brilliant and incredibly talented person and editor, for all the considerable time, effort, and hard work she has put into helping me shape and fine tune not just this book, but all of the Alyssa Wyatt series. You have been absolutely invaluable.
As always, Keshini Naidoo (Hera Books) deserves a huge, massive thanks for always having her finger on the pulse of the story, for allowing me to bounce ideas off her, for calming my moments of madness, and at least a million other things. Alyssa Wyatt and her team would definitely not be the same without you.
