“Maybe we should go someplace more private so we can talk?”

Twenty minutes later, the couple were upstairs in a room at the Hyatt. With the drapes closed, Gabriela pulled out every trick in her sexual toolbox, giving the tall man a ride to remember.

An hour and a half later, when they walked out of the hotel onto 42nd Street, it was getting dark.

“I should be going,” said Gabriela looking up into his eyes.

“Wait,” he said as she started to turn away, “I have to see you again. You take my breath away. I’ve never met a woman like you before. I’ll do anything for you.”

That’s the moment she knew she owned him. She had gone fishing, caught her guppy and slowly reeled him in. Next step—her big handsome fish needed to get rid of another fish that was in the way of her future. She smiled up at him. “To be totally transparent,” said Gabriela, “you should know, I’m married.”

“Since we’re being honest,” said the tall man, “So am I.”

“Nobody’s perfect,” she replied with a smile. “So, what do we do now?”

“I’ve never done anything like this before. When I saw you, I couldn’t stop myself.”

“I feel the same,” said Gabriela breathlessly. “I’ve never done this either. Maybe we’re soulmates?”

They made plans to meet the following week. Before they parted, he bent his head down and kissed her one last time.

Later, boarding the Lexington Express train to go home, Gabriela’s brain fired on all pistons. There’s so much still to do and I’ve got to play him exactly right. Bonus for me, the sex wasn’t terrible.

Arriving at home, Greg was where he always was, sitting in front of his computer bidding on eBay while simultaneously gaming on the TV. “How was your night out with your friends from work?” he said, not taking his eyes off his screen.

“Fine,” said Gabriela as she shuffled through the pile of mail on the kitchen counter. “It’s good to let off a little work steam. I think we’re going to make it a weekly thing.”

“That’s nice,” said Greg half listening and still glued to his game. “I’m bidding on an antique Masonic orb pendant. There’s only a few minutes left on the clock. Some asshole has been bidding it up for the last two hours.”

Standing behind him, Gabriela rolled her big eyes. “Don’t you get tired of doing this all day?”

“That’s how I make the money to keep you in style.”

Gabriela looked around at their tiny, cluttered apartment and made a face. “If you got a real job, you’d make more money and we wouldn’t have all this junk lying around. This place is like a pen for pigs.”
