I looked her in her eyes to calm her down. I said, “Wait a minute. What happened to the mature girl that I met in Chicago? Now all of this extracurricular hostility is crazy. You are both here, you are both drunk, and you both need to rest. Now I don’t even trust putting you in a separate room,” I told them both.

“Well, you can give me my keys and I can drive back home then,” Tan commented. She could barely stand up straight.

I said, “Okay. Let me see you walk a straight line.”

She actually tried it, too. She was walking sideways like a broken steering wheel. TaShay watched her friend and started laughing.

“Her ass can’t drive nowhere.”

“Yes I can, too.”

I shook my head and took the girl’s hand. I had TaShay in my left, and Tan in my right.

“Let’s go,” I told them.

“Why, you don’t want us?” Tan responded.

I shook my head again with no comment. I had to get those girls out of Dodge as quickly as possible. It would have been insane for me to take them anywhere near the front desk. They would have called the cops on us all. So I got them inside the hotel through the side door with my room key, and we made it straight to the elevators on the way to my room.

“I gotta pee so fuckin’ bad,” Tan said out of the blue.

I was convinced; the girl was crazy. I picked up the pace with them as soon as we made it to my floor, and I rushed them to the room to stop Tan from having an accident. That would have been the last straw for me.

I opened the door, and she nearly fell into the bathroom to make it.

“Oh my God!” she expressed as she relieved herself. I even had to close the bathroom door behind her.

TaShay laughed and fell out on the bed. “I gotta go next,” she told me.

It was gonna be another very long night. I could see it. They were making me extratired already.

As soon as Tan walked out from the bathroom, she asked me, “Did they give you a minibar in here?”

“You don’t need anymore to drink,” I told her.

She looked at me and frowned. “I’m not talking about that. I just need a candy bar or something.”

“Do they have all-night room service here?” TaShay asked me as she stood from the bed.

“No,” I answered her.

“Damn, I could eat a steak right now,” she stated before she walked into the bathroom.

“Yeah, she could eat a steak all right, a man steak,” Tan joked.

“I heard that,” TaShay responded from inside the bathroom. At least she had closed the door behind her.

Tan helped herself to a Snickers from the minibar.

“Oh, you don’t mind, do you?” she asked me after the fact.

“No, go right ahead,” I told her. “Take all you want.”
