“Well, get over it. That’s how I act sometimes when I’m on my period.”
“Well, I didn’t know that shit before, did I? I could say the same thing about you changing up on me. But I knew your ass was crazy from the start,” I told her. “I just thought you were sane with me.”
“Whatever.” She didn’t want to hear it.
I said, “Okay, I said my piece. That’s all I wanted to do. I’ll get out of your hair now.”
“Whatever,” she repeated.
“Is that all you have to say? ‘Whatever’?”
She said, “I know I’m not coming over there to suck your dick tonight, that’s all I know.”
I stopped and thought for a minute. We didn’t have to end things on a bad note. It was all about how you went about things. So I joked with her and said, “I could just drive over to your place and get my dick sucked over there then. How about that?”
That only made Danni more incensed. She said, “What? Motherfucker, you must have bumped your damn head somewhere! You don’t talk to me like that. Who the fuck you think you are?”
“I’m the same nice guy who picked your skinny ass up from the airport last weekend. What, you forgot about that? Now you done climbed up on your high horse to treat me like you treat everybody else. Well, fuck it then! I don’t need a two-faced, Olive Oyl and Popeye chick like that.”
She said, “Evidently, you liked it. You had your tongue all up in Olive Oyl’s skinny pussy. And you damn sure ain’t no fucking Popeye, because I’ve had much bigger.”
“And you begged them other jackhammers to be your one-man show too, huh?” I asked her.
“Maybe I did.”
“And maybe they all did the right thing by turning your crazy ass down, too,” I told her. “You don’t know what the hell you want, girl! And almost had me going for some sucker shit. Well, I ain’t playing that game no more. I’m going back to doin’ me.”
“You do whatever you need to do,” she told me.
“All right. Say no more.” And she hung up on me.
I wasn’t expecting a conversation like that. However, Danni had undergone a drastic change on me. My guess was that she didn’t want to be in a real relationship in the first place, so arguing with me was her way of getting out of it. I only made it easier for her with my new attitude. But hell, she was gonna kick me to the curb sooner or later anyway if she had it in her mind to do so. At least I could now leave with my dignity in tact.
Then I went ahead and called Victoria with more cockiness on my mind. Rachel had me on a roll.
“Hey, Terrance, how are you doing?” Victoria asked me. She recognized my Atlanta number.
“I’m just calling to see if you missed me,” I told her.
