“Gladly,” she replied, pulling Reagan up the stairs and into her bedroom. She stepped around the bed and turned on a lamp.

Reagan pressed against Jill’s back, wrapping her arms around her waist. She moved her hair out of the way and placed light kisses along her neck. Jill’s skin was warm beneath her lips and smelled faintly of vanilla and sandalwood.

Jill shivered, letting out a low moan as she tilted her head. “Please keep doing that.”

Reagan chuckled. “Maybe later. But first I need to see you,” she replied as she turned Jill around. She held her face in one hand, brushing her thumb along Jill’s bottom lip. “And kiss you.”

God, how she wanted to kiss her. But she also wanted to take her time and savor each moment. Reagan stopped right before their lips met, and Jill sucked in a breath. Her patience ran out and she crushed her lips against Jill’s, groaning at the hunger with which Jill kissed her back. As Jill wrapped her hands in her hair, Reagan undid the buttons of Jill’s shirt. She nibbled her bottom lip and kissed a line from her chin to the base of her throat. Jill sucked in a breath and rolled her hips forward. Reagan skimmed Jill’s bare stomach but stopped at the waistband when Jill covered her hands. She pulled back to look into Jill’s eyes, afraid she would see regret. “What’s wrong?”

“As much as I want this, want you, I need to make sure you’re okay.”

Jill paused and Reagan’s heart sunk. Please don’t tell me to stop. She wanted Jill so badly. She had been craving her kiss and her touch ever since the night at the bar. And if she was being honest with herself, that craving had started when she first laid eyes on Jill.

“It’s been an emotional night, and I don’t want to take advantage of you.”

Reagan let out a slow breath and relief washed over her. She held Jill’s hands and squeezed. “I appreciate the check-in, but I’m good. Way better than good. I’ve wanted this for a while now.”

“God, me too,” Jill replied, weaving their fingers together.

“Speaking of check-in…Should we have the safety chat?”

Jill looked at her quizzically until realization seemed to set in. “Oh, right. I’m good. Been tested since my last time. I’m clean.”

“Me too. Now, where was I?” Her hands traveled back to Jill’s stomach and she traced the taut lines of muscle.

“Fuck me,” Jill hissed.
