Well, I don’t know. Everyone has their own story to remember.

The Princess thought for a moment.

Oh, no!

Do I have something I should remember?

One does not know if one has to remember something, if one did, one would remember.

Huh?

Alright -- said Pia. -- When you feel like something is missing, when things aren’t going well in your life, when you feel anxious or depressed, or when you feel an emptiness in your heart, it is very likely that you have something to remember.

I don’t understand.

We are not always what we are, most of the time we are what we once were. Tell me as much of your story as you can remember.

Well, there’s not a lot to tell. I’ve lived most of my life locked up in a tower under the custody of The Dragon of Fear.

Hmmmm -- Pia scratched her chin. -- That is very common.

Really?

Yes. Many people lock themselves up in a castle of fear. They go there because they feel safe somehow and, after a while, they forget that they locked themselves in and find it very difficult to leave. But since you are here, and you have eaten four bowls of soup, I presume that you’ve already conquered The Black Dragon of Fear... is this him? -- asked Pia, pointing to the Dragon.

Yeah, this is him.

Pia walked around the Dragon, who was sitting there with an innocent face.

Hmm, he’s a very big dragon. You must have fed him for a long time. Was he hard to conquer?

Well, not really. I thought it would be harder, but in the moment it was actually pretty easy.

That is also normal; black dragons of fear bark harder than they bite.

Hello! I’m sitting right here... and I can hear everything you’re saying.

When you realize you can control them, black dragons of fear are really harmless.

This is humiliating.

And how do you know that you have been locked up in the tower for most of your life? -- asked Pia.

I don’t know... I just assumed...

When did you lock yourself in? -- she asked again.

I don’t know. Come to think of it, there are a lot of things that I don’t know.

That just means that there are a lot of things you need to find out -- concluded Pia.

And can I find those things out in The Cave of the Past?

Well of course you can! Many of the answers to our current doubts are found in The Cave of the Past. It is always good to know where you came from in order to know where you are heading.

How can I get into The Cave of the Past?

You first have to believe everything I’ve said.

I do believe.

Are you willing to enter no matter what you might find?
