- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
She blushed a dusky rose and typed more. “Okay. This one is of the Coonan organization, in and of itself. These are the companies I’ve traced to them so far that deal with motels, bars, restaurants, laundromats, and even a couple of art galleries. Easy laundering opportunities. I’ve sent you all a report on this.”
Okay. Now she was just turning him on. Raider adjusted his jeans. Smart girls. The best. “I can’t believe you did all of this in one day.” Her analytical skills intrigued the hell out of him.
She kept her gaze on the screen. “You need to study all of that before tomorrow.” Then she typed more. “Here are all of the possible crimes, arrests, and interviews of Eddie and his closest enforcers. You’ll notice a lack of evidence and convictions, but read them through.”
Angus scrubbed both hands down his face. “How many reports did you generate?”
“Five.” She typed more. “Here’s a detailed timeline of Senator Tyson’s life, missing women, and any hint that he was involved in the disappearances. During his time in law school and New York, I discovered travel itineraries for Eddie Coonan to wherever Tyson was at the time.”
Wolfe leaned forward. “That’s excellent.”
“But not evidence of wrongdoing,” she countered, her shoulders hunching.
Raider freaking loved how her mind worked. They had one more night together, and he was going to make sure she knew how amazing he thought she was. “That’s four reports.”
She nodded and documents flew across the screen. “The fifth report, and it’s in all of your inboxes. A rundown on human trafficking and possible transportation and destinations, taken from that sheet I memorized at Eddie’s.” She ground a fist into her eye. “I need lubricating drops for my eyes. Keep forgetting to buy them.”
Raider stood. “It’s time for some sleep. I’ll be here at five in the morning to get wired up again before flying to Boston.”
She closed her laptop, her face turning pale. “That’s the other thing. I’ve tried everything all day to figure out a way to get into Eddie’s computer system, with absolutely no results. I couldn’t even get in through his phone, and I couldn’t ping him.” She looked up, her gaze somber. “He uses some sort of jamming equipment in that computer room. Once you’re in there, we won’t be able to see or hear anything.”
Angus dropped his feet to the ground. “Wonderful.”
Raider sighed. Exactly.

Chapter Thirty-Three
Raider hauled Brigid against him as he drove them home, his body settling at having her near. “If something happens tomorrow, I want you to know that the last week has been one of my best in years,” he murmured.
She snuggled against him, her eyes shut. “Me too.”
