I joined him at the door. Not only was there a king-sized, canopy bed but an attached en suite bathroom with a whirlpool tub and multi-jet shower. Floor to ceiling windows took up an entire wall, and there was a decent sitting area off to the side. A second set of patio doors went to the balcony from the bedroom as well. It was spacious and elegant.
Asher pointed at the cream-colored couches and ottoman in the corner. “There’s the viewing area for tomorrow night.” He swung his hand and pointed at the bed, licking his lips. “And there’s the stage where my ass is going to get fucked like nobody’s business.”
“You sound awfully calm about it.”
“Nope. Freaking the fuck out. Making jokes helps me cope. I’m squirming on the inside.”
I threaded our fingers together and brought his knuckles to my mouth, kissing them. “It will be fine. We’re gonna pretend they aren’t here, and I’m gonna show you the time of your life. I have no doubt this will be an incredible experience.”
Asher’s only response was a small nod.
There was a knock at the door. Asher startled and dropped my hand before going to let the man in with our bags. He tipped the concierge with a subtle handshake and sent him off.
“Shall we head down to Jay’s?” Asher asked.
“Yeah. Might as well see what all’s on the schedule, then we can come back and tear that bed apart.”
Asher hummed. “I want to fuck you into a coma. Then nap. Then fuck you again.”
I rolled my eyes and headed to the door. “Such a sex addict now.”
“I always was, but since your ass got involved, life has never been better.”
Jay’s room was just as extravagant as ours. He welcomed us in and offered us a drink. There was a bottle of red wine open on the coffee table in the living area where Jay had been working, and a nearly empty glass was next to it, waiting to be refilled.
“Wait. Wine’s a no-no for you two, isn’t it? Charlotte keeps hammering that into my head. Twenty-year-old kids don’t do wine.”
“Twenty-one,” Asher corrected. “And we aren’t kids. But we’re good. We don’t need anything.”
“Nonsense. Let me order some beers from downstairs. They have an amazing selection. Give me a minute. Have a seat.” He waved at the seating area.
Jay went to make a quick call for room service while Asher and I got comfortable on the couch across from where Jay had been sitting before we arrived. When he returned, he tidied the folder of papers he had spread out and put them aside, grabbing a second folder from his briefcase.
