He grabbed my side, digging his fingers right where I was ticklish, and I yelped, squirming in his hold. I wiggled and screamed and did all I could to launch myself off the couch but only managed to fall to the carpet and roll a few inches away.

Asher was too strong and too quick. He landed on top of me and got his arms around my middle. I wound up face down on the carpet with his full weight crushing me into the floor.

I couldn’t stop laughing, but neither could he. “Apparently, I need to punish you again.”

I yelled and squirmed, trying to get free. “No. Shit. Asher. Your name is Asher. Asher,” I yelled into the room. “Not baby. I didn’t mean it.”

Asher’s lips ghosted my ear, and I shuddered and stilled. “I think I need a new method of punishment. The bike didn’t work.”

“It’s true. The bike failed. Never use the bike again.”

“Suggestions?”

I squirmed again, lifting my hips a fraction, grinding my ass against the semi that was growing in his pants. “Maybe you should fuck it out of me. I think, with effort, it might work. You’ll have to be persistent. I’m slow on the uptake.”

He chuckled and licked the shell of my ear, sucking the lobe into his mouth. “Oh yeah? How many times would it take before you learned?”

“Hundreds. Thousands. It’d be a huge task, but it would work. I believe in you. You can cure this terrible evil that makes me say things I don’t mean.”

“It’s worth a shot, I guess. When should this punishment begin?”

“Nip it in the bud. Immediately. I must be schooled.”

Asher ground against me, rolling his hips over and over. “All right. Then I suggest we quit dawdling. We have a lot of work ahead of us.”

But we didn’t make it to the shower.

Or to the bed.

Or back onto the couch.

The floor worked just find for Teach Atticus Not to Use The Term Baby, round one of infinity.
