Daisy raised her wrist up to Victorija’s mouth. “I know you want to be Torija again. Look in my eyes as you feed, and choose Torija, choose me.” Daisy could see the tension on Victorija’s face, the war going on inside her head. “I consent.”

Victorija took Daisy’s wrist in her hands and inhaled her scent. Daisy’s body reacted to even that little bit of stimulation.

“Keep looking at me,” Daisy said.

Victorija’s eyes were blood red, and Daisy’s body was held tight, waiting on her touch. It happened quickly. Victorija bit down on Daisy’s wrist, and she gasped. Daisy didn’t anticipate feeling as much as she did. Her whole body was yearning for Victorija. She wanted Victorija, needed her.

They kept their eyes locked. Daisy’s breathing was building, and some moans were escaping. It almost felt like her body was building towards an orgasm. She could see colour returning to Victorija’s skin. She was standing straighter and gaining strength.

But would she stop, that was the question. Was she Victorija, or was she Torija?

The answer came when she pulled her teeth from Daisy’s wrist. “Thank you. I want to be Torija.”

Daisy gasped when Torija licked the wound on her wrist, and it started to heal, just like Amelia’s wounds did when she became Byron’s blood bond. She smiled. “I knew you were in there.”

“Just put your necklace on, in case Drasas finds us.”

Daisy put it back on, her heart still hammering in her chest. To Victorija’s surprise, Daisy led her back to the bed. They lay down, and Daisy opened her arms. “Come here.”

“Why?”

“Because I want to hold you in my arms and let you sleep.”

Victorija was scared, scared of having this kind of intimacy, and she didn’t want to face the horrors that awaited her in sleep. “I can’t. I told you, the spirits are in my sleep,” Victorija said.

“But you’ve fed on me now. Those dreams would just have been the confusion of blood sickness.”

“It takes more than one feed to get me back to full health.”

Daisy patted the bed. “Just come here, Vamp.”

Victorija sighed and climbed onto the bed, and Daisy pulled her into her arms. She held herself rigid, and Daisy said, “Relax, will you? It’s just me. Your little old blood bond.”

Victorija sighed and let go slightly, “You do realize I’m a top. I’m not used to being held in a young woman’s arms.”

“Oh, shut up and cuddle.”

Victorija couldn’t believe she was doing this, but then, who would have thought she would have turned her back on her clan for a human.
