"That's what I said!" Zhiolas replied, as the server returned with a tray of drinks.

I took my familiar glass bottle with delight and almost relief, closing my eyes as I huffed the smell of IPA before taking a cold swig. Oh, that was good. I'd gotten used to weird fae food, but a beer really hit the spot. I tilted my head up in an expression of ecstasy that made Dain rumble a laugh, then set my beer down on the table.

"Alright, boys," I said with a grin. "Let's get this party started." I turned and leaned towards Dain, resting some of my weight against his thigh and putting my mouth right up against his ear, my nose brushing the soft edge. "Since you were so keen on telling me about your self-care routine, how many times a day do you get yourself off?" I murmured into Dain's ear, cupping my hand next to our faces to hide the movement of my mouth and my wicked smile. I couldn't hide the blush, but what's a girl to do?

Dain let out a low, purring growl as I leaned back into my seat. "Usually once, but sometimes more than four," he said. One of his tails coiled around my ankle.

I gave him a boggled look. "Four? Jesus."

"Or more," he said, smirking.

"Wow, okay," I said. Apparently Dain could be teenager-level frisky. That was a delightful piece of information, I thought, leaning back against the couch. Dain had his arm and wing-arm taking up the space behind me, so I ended up with his warm arm draped along my neck, which I was more than fine with.

"For Alluin..." Dain covered his mouth, his jaw moving as he glamored his voice into his friend's ear.

The other fae burst into laughter, his white teeth bright against his brown skin. "So that's how we're doing tonight? Two nights ago." He turned to Zhiolas and whispered something into his ear that made the white-haired fae snort.

"Right now? Leah, obviously," he said. "Think of the novelty."

I opened my mouth to ask for the question, but Dain beat me to it, with a lazy drawl to the question that made it sound more dangerous than if he'd snarled it.

"Person at the table he'd most like to see naked, if it wouldn't get him killed," Alluin answered with a saucy expression, licking his lips.

Dain made a disgruntled sound and settled his arm more firmly across my shoulders.

"No need to be possessive," Zhiolas said with a laugh. "She's not my soulmate, after all, and you're an idiot if you think other people aren't admiring her from time to time."

"She's sitting right here," I answered before Dain could rise to that bait.
