And it’s a craving I know I’ll never be able to sate.

“That’s what I was going to tell you.” I breathe the words against his lips, holding his face to mine.

I’ve never told a man I loved him before, but I figure by the fire, beneath the stars, and with Jasper Williams is the perfect time to do it. I open my mouth—my confession on the tip of my tongue—but before those three little words can escape, Jasper pulls away.

His huge hands move from my ass, drifting down the backs of my thighs. The contrast of his warm skin to the cool breeze causes goose bumps to trail his movements. His fingers pause when they reach my knees and he hooks my legs with his arms.

And then he’s inside me.

My back arches off the chair, my shoulder blades digging deep into the wood beneath me, and my hands fly out, holding tight to the armrests as Jasper moves in and out of me in the most delicious way possible.

I want to watch as the beads of sweat form at Jasper’s hairline and he throws his head back, moaning into the quietness enveloping us. But as his pace quickens and the tendrils of the fire dancing overhead begin to blur with the stars, I can’t keep my eyes open any longer.

I squeeze my eyes shut just as my inner muscles tighten around Jasper. I try to hold it off, I’m not ready for this moment to end. I want to stay underneath the stars and this amazing man forever.

“Don’t hold back, Drew.” Jasper’s rough voice trembles as he moves faster, harder into me.

“No.” I let go of the chair and latch on to his arms. “I . . . want . . . more,” I manage to say between my heavy breathing.

And even though I’m not ready, every muscle in my body goes taut with anticipation as the pressure in my core builds to a level that is almost frightening.

“You can have this forever.” He groans between clenched teeth, his arms trembling beneath my fingertips.

And that does it.

Those words. The idea of forever with Jasper—possibilities as vast as the night sky above us—pushes me over the edge.

I fall apart, the curve of the fire bright behind my eyelids as my screams of pleasure echo off the mountains. My voice ricochets around us like the final quakes of my orgasm as Jasper buries himself deep, coming apart along with me.

He drops his forehead to mine, the damp strands of his hair sticking to his skin as his breathing begins to even out.

“You undo me, Drew.”

“Right back at you.”

I know it’s only the first night of our vacation, but I’m not sure anything can top this.

Not ever.
