“I’m going to change my clothes, and then I can meet you at the uptown spot in one hour. Don’t be late, Ta. I got some important shit going on, and if you not there, I’m not going to wait.”

“I’ll be there,” TaTa assured her. She hung up the phone immediately before she cracked. TaTa looked back at Detective Robbins, who was standing behind her. “There, it’s done. Are you happy now?”

“We sure are,” Robbins said, smiling at Detective Sorcosky.

Sorcosky grinned wide. “Let’s go get her.”

On the way out the room, Robbins turned to TaTa and gave her a thumbs-up, “Great job! It has been so nice working with you.”

TaTa stuck up her middle finger. “Fuck you, bitch.”

Kisa pulled into the parking garage and parked in her assigned space. She opened the driver’s door, extending her leg to keep it propped open. Reaching across the passenger seat, she gathered her things. As Kisa rose to get out the car, SMACK! She was stung by a hard, blinding slap across her face that knocked her back into the vehicle. Her purse flew into the rear of the car. I’ve been caught slippin’, Kisa thought frantically, trying to retrieve a gun from under the passenger’s-side seat. The assailant tugged at her legs. Unable to reach the pistol, Kisa held on to the arm of the door and fought back by kicking. She was no match for her attacker. He jerked Kisa from the car with one hard yank. Kisa landed on the cement ass first, banging her head on the metal edge of the driver’s-side floor.

The assailant grabbed her by the collar and pulled her to her feet. Kisa was shocked and relieved to see that it was Sincere. “You asshole,” she yelled, mushing him upside his head. “What in the hell is wrong with you? I almost shot you, stupid.” Kisa slammed her fist into his chest repeatedly. “You scared me.”

Sincere grabbed her by the wrists, pinning her against the car with his weight. “You fucking that nigga again? Is that why you so ready to divorce me?”

“What are you talking about?” Kisa questioned, dumbfounded.

“I saw you with him, so don’t lie!” Sincere shouted in her face. “Is that why you haven’t answered any of my calls?”

“You are fuckin losing it, ’cause you didn’t see me with nobody!”

“I saw the pictures of you on the Internet hugged up with CoCo at that party the other night.”

Kisa racked her brain, trying to figure out what Sincere was talking about, and then she remembered all the cameras that had been flashing while she was talking to CoCo. “I wasn’t with him, stupid! He was with his girlfriend, and I was there with Kennedy and E. We were only speaking on the way into the party. Not that I have to explain anything to you.”
