Pulling his mouth away, Aaron opens his eyes, frowning. “You’re tensing up.”
My lips twitch.
His right index finger traces my bottom lip, causing goose bumps to erupt all over my body. “Relax. It’s just me.”
He’s right. He’s just him. Aaron. The man who danced with me even when I must’ve looked like an awkward worm, and who played in the snow with me and my dogs, and who let me look through childhood pictures of him with his mother and sister because he knew it made me smile.
He’s the best of them all.
Instead of answering, I put my hands on his chest and kiss him first this time. Our tongues tangle, slowly at first, then gaining fire as I wrap my arms around his neck. Aaron’s hands climb back to my head, holding me tight as he deepens the kiss, making my stomach fill with a swarm of butterflies.
In one swift movement, Aaron grips the back of my thighs before lifting me up, as if I’m weightless. Then, he starts walking, never breaking away from our kiss. I don’t even know if he’s seeing where he’s going, but to be honest, at this moment, I couldn’t care less. It’s so unlike me, to go in blind, both figuratively and literally, but he makes me feel like nothing could be more important than this, right now. His teeth nipping at my bottom lip. His large hands gripping my butt. The sounds he makes when I tug lightly at the roots of his dark hair.
I’m not sure how, but eventually, Aaron drops me on my back on the bed. He’s standing in front of it, not moving, simply looking. His gaze is dark, roaming. I’m still dressed, but from the way he’s gazing at me, you would think I was completely naked. A large bulge is teasing at the seam of his jeans, making me blink. I feel wetness gathering between my legs, and I squirm on the bed, trying to ease some of the tension. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted anything as much as I want this. Enough to make me forget about all the possible consequences.
Gaze never wavering, Aaron prowls forward before he starts to unzip my dress, going so slow I almost die. Once he’s done, I shrug it off, lying down only in my matching black lace lingerie set.
Being this bare in front of someone, I should be embarrassed, but somehow, I’m not.
“Goddamn,” he mutters before covering the outline of my bra with kisses. I throw my head back, enjoying every single touch from him. I could never regret this. I know this now. How could I think something that feels this good was a mistake? Dying without having experienced Aaron’s lips on my body would’ve been a sin.
