Chapters (39)
Lastly, to all my readers...Thank you for taking a chance on my boys. Not only on them, but on my words. It’s not easy cutting yourself open for the world to see. The fact you even want a look inside the fuckery that is my brain confounds me. But I am nonetheless appreciative. Thank you for taking the time to read my debut novel. For hyping me up with your messages, fanart, you name it. It’s all thanks to you guys that I am where I am right now:
Still a little stressed, but hella fuckin’ happy.
I love you all.

Triggers: Grief, mental illness (including suicidal thoughts/behaviors, and on-page mentions of a death by suicide), substance abuse/addiction, homophobia (internalized and externalized), and trauma as a result of child abuse (physical/verbal/psychological)*.
Please note that while these issues are handled as delicately as possible, don’t anticipate anything to be watered down. This book is very character driven. Not everyone deals with trauma, mental abuse, and addiction the same way. This is how my characters deal with theirs. This book is intended for readers 18 years and older.
*The abuse is in the past, but it is discussed at length at times present-day, or shown vaguely in flashbacks.

About the Author
Jessie Walker is a New Adult/Contemporary romance author based out of Scranton, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her long-time partner and fur-spawn. Drawn to all things dark and twisted, nitty and gritty, she likes to pretend she’s not the hopeless romantic at heart that she is. When she’s not slaving away at a keyboard, there’s a very good chance you’ll find her vegged out on her couch, listening to sad 90’s grunge, and dreamin’ up all the ways she can make the voices in her head suffer. She has a BS in Psychology, and will diagnose you.
