Jax sucked in a breath, her mouth covered by Gretchen’s. The kiss brought with it every ounce of happiness she had been missing, a feeling of belonging and completion. She traced the bow of Gretchen’s full upper lip with her tongue and breathed in her soft moan. When Gretchen opened up for her, Jax tasted her mouth and lost herself to the way they fit so perfectly together.
Gretchen palmed Jax’s bare breast. “I missed you.” She scratched her short nails along Jax’s defined abdomen. “All of you.”
She stopped Gretchen’s wandering hand. “Wait. Are you okay? With this? Do you feel okay?” She could see Gretchen’s vibrant smile in the darkness.
“I am sure about this, about us. It’s what I wanted since I woke up in the hospital the first time.” Gretchen moved to place her hand over Jax’s heart. “And physically, I’m okay. I just shouldn’t put too much weight on my shoulder.”
“Easy fix,” she said, moving to position Gretchen on her back and hover above her. She settled between Gretchen’s legs. “Does this work for you?”
Gretchen canted her hips. “Very much.”
Jax removed her shirt quickly, and Gretchen nodded when Jax looked at her for permission to take hers off, too. Jax smirked at the way Gretchen stared at her naked torso. “See something you like?”
“Your tattoo?”
Jax looked down at her bare, blank skin. “I’ve been thinking about getting one but never pulled the trigger.”
“You should,” Gretchen said immediately, reaching out to run her finger below her breast. “Right here.”
Jax didn’t want to talk anymore. She grabbed Gretchen’s hand and kissed the inside of her wrist. She looked at the rest of her body and couldn’t decide which dark nipple deserved her attention first. She must have hesitated too long, because Gretchen grabbed her head and drew her mouth down to her breast.
Jax lavished attention on her puckered skin until the nipple couldn’t get any harder. She drew it between her teeth and bit down hard enough to draw a whimper from Gretchen. Jax kissed her way up to Gretchen’s throat and licked along her pulse point. She started a steady roll of her hips, just enough to press into Gretchen’s center on and off and drive her completely crazy.
“Do not tease me,” Gretchen growled. She reached into Jax’s boxers and grabbed her ass roughly.
