  42. Want More Maya Hughes?

The weight of my soaked sweats and boxers provided the only protection I had from the growing erection primed for action by the look in her eyes. I was seconds from punching myself in the dick to keep from stepping out of line.

“Come with me.” She nodded toward the stairs like now would be when I’d finally let go of her hand.

It felt like stepping onto hallowed ground. Climbing the steps, my pulse throbbed in my veins.

She pushed open the first door on the left. Her room. There were no posters on the wall, only pictures. Notebooks and textbooks were strewn all over the desk and bed.

“You can wait here. I’ll get you a towel and something to wear.”

We stared down at our hands. We’d have to let go at some point. But here, surrounded by Bay’s things, it didn’t feel half as wrong as it would’ve felt in my car. I released my grip and she released hers.

“Two seconds.” And she was gone. Doors opened and closed in the hallway and I looked around the room. With a shy smile, she came back in with a stack of towels.

I trailed my finger along the edge of her desk, careful not to wet anything more than I needed to. There was a puddle around my feet.

She crossed in front of me to her dresser and tugged out the drawers. Slipping her hand inside, she grabbed a shirt and shorts.

My Adam’s apple bobbed as I caught a flash of Bay peeling her sopping clothes off her body, revealing wide, smooth, perfect expanses of skin to my hungry gaze.

She turned to face me with her clothes clutched to her chest.

“Did you want to rinse off? I’m feeling kind of grody.” She tugged her shirt away from her chest. “Obviously, you don’t have to do that here. You can go home.” Her voice trailed off, quieter with each word.

A pang slammed into my chest. The warmth spread. She wanted me to stay and I didn’t want to leave.

“I’ll take a shower.”

“I’ll get you a change of clothes while you’re in there.” She laid the soft, fluffy towels—softer than any I’d used before—in my arms.

“Thanks.”

“It’s the first door on the other side of the hallway.”

I set out on my adventure to use another person’s bathroom. And not just any person. Bay. The expedition I’d been unprepared for was underway.

The house was a mirror of my house. Configuration aside, nothing felt the same. The tiles were bright and white. No cracks, discolored grout, or missing medicine cabinet. Everything inside screamed nice family home filled with people who gave a damn about one another.

A quiet knock on the door broke through my exploration.

“Is everything okay?”

“Yup, I’m good.” I set down the towels and cranked on the shower. “I’ll be out in a couple minutes.” I peeled off my clothes and jumped into the shower, cleaning myself as efficiently as I did after practices. The addition of my semi hadn’t escaped me, but I hoped it would escape Bay. Her raspberry body wash sat on a shelf in the shower.
