Her gaze narrows and as if everything is making sense. “Danielle knew all about it, didn’t she? You’re the lead. I knew she was hiding something.”
I shrug. Danielle was my eyes inside Blend. Thanks to her we were able to learn who was interested in the company and get a better price.
“Are we okay?”
My heart pounds fast, she hasn’t said anything yet about the proposal. About us.
Her eyebrows raise. I hold my breath.
“It’s not because you bought me a company, but because you’re thoughtful, caring, and supportive, you know,” she says, “the misunderstood Han Solo.”
She smiles and presses a quick kiss to my lips. “I love you.”
Finally, the three words I’ve been waiting for, she says them. I unbuckle her seat belt and pull her to my lap.
“I know,” I respond and kiss her hard with all I’ve got.
“Oh my fucking God,” she complains. “You didn’t just say that.”
“I’ve been waiting for just the right moment,” I confess and smirk. “Let’s go to the bedroom of the plane.”
“You think you’re getting lucky, Archer?”
“Lucky enough to convince you to say yes, I’m still waiting for you to accept my marriage proposal.”
She looks at her hand, admiring her finger and then at me. “Patience you must have, my young Han Solo.”
I grab her by the waist and lift her from the ground. “That’s it. I’m going to make you scream.”

Claire
Six weeks later …
When I arrive home, I realize I don’t have one. Miller offers me his house while I look for something that would fit me. That man has too many aces up his sleeve. The next day he shows me the penthouse, and by the weekend we move in together. Reggie loves it there. It has more space to run around, yet he still begs to be taken to my parents on Sundays.
As for the companies, we’re still blending them together. There’s a lot of work to do. We are closing the New York branch. Jonathan is heading to our new branch in Singapore. He’s just the vice-president and would love to keep it that way. His boyfriend doesn’t want him working twenty-four seven, as he used to when he worked for his mother.
23 Blend Digital Media isn’t exactly my dream. It’s more than that. Once I finally gave Miller the chance to show me what he’s done with his company, I fell in love with it.
He found the old drafts of my dream company on my old computer. He worked out the kinks, made some improvements, and then implemented them in his company.
