His jaw tightened, and he fought with everything he had against the knee-jerk reaction to pull back. He wanted her touch, craved it, and the emotions staring back at him were worth the struggle. He brushed his lips over hers and bit her lower lip, giving it a not-so-gentle tug.

“Good. Now stop bringing other people into this bed, and let me show you just how much I want you here before we have to go to work.”

As he kissed his way down her neck, she said, “I don’t work until six, and you’re not scheduled until four.”

“Exactly.” He grazed his teeth over her nipple, and she arched beneath him, sucking in a sharp breath. “If I have to keep my hands off you from six till midnight, I’m going to need reserves.”

“Then stop talking and get busy.” She giggled, and he sucked her nipple into his mouth, turning the sweet sound into sinful moans and seductive pleas that he knew he’d hear in his sleep.

“YOU KNOW YOU really screwed up letting Tracey slip through your fingers.” It was almost six o’clock, and Izzy had been tossing barbs at Diesel since he got to work. “She went out with Dr. Rhys last night, and she still hadn’t come home when I left for work this morning.”

“That so?” he said evenly, smirking inside as he made a drink for a customer. Fucking Rhys had nothing on him.

“Yup. She was into you, but you blew it.” She started putting clean glasses away. “I don’t know what is wrong with guys like you, overlooking the best women around and taking the raunchy ones home. Rhys knows a good thing when he sees it, and he knows how to treat a woman. He took Tracey to Nova Lounge. She looked hot, too, in a slinky black dress, eyes made up all pretty.”

The dress I ripped when I took it off her? “No shit?”

The door to the bar opened, and Tracey walked in with Moon, her eyes darting to Diesel. He winked, and her cheeks pinked up. She was a sight for sore eyes in a black-and-white floral miniskirt, a black Whiskey Bro’s tank top tied at her waist, and black high-tops. He watched her pretty little ass sway as she and Moon headed to the back to clock in. She was going to drive him out of his fucking mind on purpose; he just knew it.

“Did you see that smile on her face?” Izzy said. “That’s the glow of a well-fucked woman. Bet your girls don’t look like that the next morning.”
