TRACEY HUSTLED FROM one table to the next, taking drink orders, chatting with customers, and raking in tips. She could hardly believe Diesel was actually lightening up with his overzealous watchdog behavior, but she wasn’t a fan of his raunchy tongue gesture. Geez. What made him go from grunting to that?

She didn’t have time to overthink it as Bones walked into the bar with Dr. Rhys, and they sat at one of her tables. This must be her lucky day. Like all the Whiskeys, Bones was tall, dark, and built for a fight, though he was leaner and had fewer tattoos than his brothers. He was also as kind as the day was long. Dr. Rhys possessed a different type of good looks. The kind that made her stomach nervous and fluttery as she headed over to them. He was tall, too, with short dark hair and eyes that exuded warmth and compassion with an underlying seductiveness that belonged on the big screen.

Sure, she’d cast a few flirtatious smiles his way at the wedding reception before her broody bodyguard had stepped between them, but now that she was standing a foot away from him, his boyish smile aimed directly at her, she had trouble remembering her own name.

“Hi, Tracey.” Dr. Rhys’s smile widened. “You look beautiful tonight. How are you?”

Beautiful? She couldn’t remember the last time a guy had called her that. If one ever had. “Good. Fine. Thanks. You, Dr. Rhys?” Oh my gosh. Ramble much?

“Please, call me Damon, Tracey,” he said charmingly. “I delivered a healthy baby girl this afternoon, I’m having a drink with a good friend, and I get to see you again. I’d say I’m doing great.”

Her cheeks burned, and she was sure she was grinning like a fool. In an effort to stop the blush from spreading, she turned her attention to Bones. “And how are you, Bones? How’re Sarah and the kids?” Bones had adopted Sarah’s three children from a previous relationship; Bradley, who was five, Lila, who was almost three, and their youngest, Maggie Rose, who was a year and a half.

“Everyone’s great. Sarah’s with Penny right now, trying to figure out how to do her hair for the wedding.” Sarah and Josie’s older brother, Scott, had just proposed to Finlay’s younger sister, Penny, who was three and a half months pregnant. They were having an intimate wedding in the spring after the baby was born.

Tracey waved a hand. “Penny will look gorgeous no matter what she does with her hair.”

“Another wedding?” A glimmer of interest shone in Damon’s eyes. “I’m going to have to get an invitation to that one, so I can dance with you.”

Oh boy.
