- About the Publisher
‘I’ve changed my mind. So how about it, will you marry me?’
The surprise was gone from his face now and replaced with a wide smile.
‘Is that a proposal?’
‘I do believe it is,’ she said.
‘In that case, my answer is a resounding yes.’
She leaned in to kiss him, then leaning back, she tapped her glass against his. ‘Now that really is something to drink to, don’t you think?’
‘Without a doubt,’ he said, putting his arm around her once more and pulling her against him.
They stayed there in the sand dunes happily making plans until the tide came in and the warmth of the day had passed. Then hand in hand, they walked home to Anchor House.
Acknowledgements
Firstly, thank you to everyone at HQ Stories for helping to settle me into my new home, especially those two shining stars of the publishing world – Kate Mills and Lisa Milton – who made it all possible.
Anna McSweeney was kind enough to help me with some all-important information, as was Andrew Jackson, and I’m most grateful to you both.
Once again, I must thank Sally Partington for her keen copyediting eye. You fair put me to shame, Sally!
Lastly, a very big thank you to the amazing booksellers who have kept the plates spinning during unimaginably challenging times. Thanks to you and all your hard work, and when they most needed to, readers were able to lose themselves in the pages of a good book. Three cheers to you all!
