I smile faintly at that immensely stupid thought and tighten my arms around him. My fingers rest on his muscular back. I’m so happy and satisfied, I wish this moment would never end.
I’m full of his cum, too, just like I wanted to be.
He lifts his head so he can look down at me.
I’m terrified he’ll say something I’ll hate, so I lean up and kiss him.
My fears ease when he smiles at me, his features still relaxed.
His voice is low and grumbly, a bedroom tone if I’ve ever heard one. “You wanna come back to my place?”
Shock shoots straight through me, but of course he already knows what I’m going to say.
“Yes.”
Wordlessly, he rests his head back on my breast.
Absently, I thread my fingers through his short dark hair and play with it.
Maybe he won’t crush me in the aftermath like I fear he will.
Maybe everything will be okay.
Chapter Eight
Georgia
One year later
“I think it needs more tinsel.”
“No, it doesn’t,” Lee disagrees, grabbing me around the waist and dragging me toward the couch.
A week ago when I first stepped foot in this living room, there was no tinsel. In fact, there was no tree. Apparently, Lee was living his best Grinch life, because there was not a single decoration to be found anywhere in his whole apartment.
Like any dutiful assistant, I fixed it for him.
On the couch, I turn and wiggle until I’m snuggled against his side. We spend a few peaceful minutes just cuddling and gazing at the tree off to the left of the fireplace.
His apartment still doesn’t look cozy or festive, by any means. The artificial tree is white with matte black ornaments and not a single candy cane. He complained about the tinsel, but I complained about his “supervillain aesthetic” Christmas tree, so we both had to make compromises.
We’re spending Christmas together, that’s the important thing.
We spent the day visiting his family upstate. I never dreamed when I wrapped those presents (that I also bought) that I would get to see them opened, but I did. We sat on his mom’s couch with Lee’s arm wrapped around me like a proper boyfriend.
Boyfriend.
I’ll never get used to that.
A shiver dances down my spine as he lifts my hand and kisses it. “Are you ready for bed?”
I’ll never get used to that, either.
It’s only nine o’clock, but I know if he wants to go to bed that early, that means we’re going to get very naughty before we fall asleep. “I sure am.”
“Good.”
Lee stands first, then offers me his hand.
