  36. About the Author

“What? No! I mean, yes, he’s here, but we weren’t doing anything,” I ramble compulsively. “There’s absolutely no sex happening in here.”

“Oh god, Dad, please shut up,” May says. And the look Travis gives me says the same thing.

I cringe. “Right. Well... we’ll be right out. Go to the dining room and grab a table for us.”

“Got it,” she says. “And then we’ll never speak of this again.”

My thoughts exactly. This is mortifying for both of us. Once it’s clear that she’s left, though, awkward laughter spills out of me.

Travis shakes his head, and I realize he’s standing there with a hand covered in my cum.

“Oh, shoot,” I say, grabbing his hand and doing my best to clean him up with my tongue.

His eyes glaze over before he pulls his hand away and tells me, “Okay, I’ll leave first and go wash my hands. And then you, uh...”

He glances down at my naked body, and yeah. I can already feel the cum starting to drip out of my ass. We really didn’t think this one through. A condom would have been helpful. I’ll just have to go to the bathroom to clean myself up as much as I can, and then I’ll hope I don’t wind up walking around with damp underwear.

“Yeah, you go,” I say once he’s dressed. “I’ll be right behind you.”

As he turns to leave, I grab his wrist, and he turns back to me.

“Kiss?” I request.

His smile as he closes the distance between us tells me he’s more than happy to oblige.

By the time I get to the dining room, Travis, May, Elise, and Grant are already seated and drinking iced tea. I’m sure May’s glass is the only one that’s sweetened, because these other three are healthy weirdos.

There’s a basket of rolls on the table, and the smell lures me over. When I take the empty seat between Travis and May, Travis squeezes my side gently, then rests his hand on my leg. Sunday lunches here have become a regular thing. Sometimes Travis’s dad even joins us.

I never thought I’d have a family tradition like this, but it’s pretty cool.

Elise and Grant don’t make me anxious anymore. They just moved into their new house, and May’s been going over to decorate her room there. They made it clear that she’s welcome to spend the night any time she wants to, but they respectfully checked with me before telling her that.

And surprisingly, I love this. It doesn’t make me jealous like it would have a few months ago. I can probably thank the therapist I’ve recently been seeing for that. (Turns out therapy actually works. Who knew?)
