Now she laughs and shakes her head. “I don’t know how we keep getting so off-topic,” she says. “But I just feel as if there’s never enough time to say or do all the things I want with you. To you,” she whispers those last two words heatedly.
“God, you two are—”
“What?”
“Maddeningly adorable,” I tell her as I scoot closer. She bites back a smile. “Tell me what you mean.”
We lay on our sides together, sharing a pillow. “I think it’s very obvious that we want to be with you,” she says.
“You say that, but I’ve been trying to get between your legs since you got here, but you just want to talk.”
She moves one hand to my shoulder and caresses me there as well. The fact that she’s touching me everywhere but where I want her and it feels so good is a lot to handle. I rub my thighs together. She notices, smiles, and scoots closer. Our breasts touch.
“We want to be with you, but I don’t want being with us to stop you from doing things you’d already planned. Things that matter to you.”
“Like kids?” She nods. “Darren already told me that you two don’t want any more children.”
She shakes her head. “One hard pregnancy was more than enough for me.”
I nod quickly. “And I get that.”
She brushes a hand across my cheek. “But I wouldn’t be the one carrying the baby, Jourdan.”
“Oh,” I breathe. “I didn’t… I didn’t think about that.” I cannot believe that thought never occurred to me. I rub her hip and around to her ass, just feeling her skin as we process that.
She wraps her arm around my shoulder and scoots as close as she can get.
“Oh,” I say again.
“Would you…do that?” she asks. “Is that something you would want? In the future, I mean.”
“I definitely want kids. I’ve always wanted kids. But I guess when Darren told me you two were done having them that I just kind of…didn’t think about it. I just assumed you wouldn’t—”
“We would,” she says quickly. “If it’s what you wanted as well, we would.”
“You’ve talked about that?” I ask, surprised.
She smiles softly and places a kiss on my mouth. She pushes my shoulders back onto the bed and moves over me, kissing me again. “Ever since the night we matched on the app, we haven’t been able to stop talking about you. Wanting you. First, it was just the sex. And then it was more.”
I’m massaging her ass now, pressing my fingers into her soft globes.
“How we’d introduce you to the boys. Looking at the bus schedules from our side of town to your job. If you’d move in when we were all ready or if we should look for another place.”
