Chapters (45)
25. 老张 – Here Xiaokai has attached “lao,” meaning “old,” to Zhang Weiran’s name, but he isn’t calling him old. Putting “lao” before the surnames of acquaintances or friends is an indication of intimacy or informality.
26. 张三 – although this is the same last name Zhang Weiran uses, “Zhang San” is like “John Doe”: an unspecified person. Used alongside 李四 (Li Si) and 王五 (Wang Wu).
27. 馒头 – Steamed bun, sometimes stuffed with a savory or sweet filling
28. Daichi called Eryu “자기야,” a pet name, so what Xingyu says is close to “Mr. Babe.”
29. 동생 – Khun is Korean. “Dongsaeng” means younger brother.
