It turned out to be easier than he’d thought. The next time he went to the bar, a man standing four people down from him caught his eye. Zack looked politely away at first, not knowing if it was an accident, but when he looked back a few seconds later, the man smiled at him.

Zack smiled back and flagged down a bartender. He ordered two shots, pretending not to notice the man staring at him as he waited for them to arrive. When they did, Zack lifted one up, turned toward him, and arched an eyebrow.

The man didn’t need a written invitation. He made his way through the crowd. Zack sized him up. He was shorter than Zack by a good six inches, but he made up for it with his muscular, swimmer’s build. Zack took one look at his sculpted shoulders and salivated. There was one hiccup, however: he was blond. He wasn’t as pretty as John, but he still reminded Zack of a scaled-down version of him.

Whatever, Zack thought. He wasn’t about to swear off blonds for the rest of his life, and the bar was going to close in less than an hour. He didn’t have time to be picky.

“Hi,” the man said when he was close enough. “I’m Brad.”

“Hi, Brad,” Zack greeted him. “I’m not going to remember that in ten minutes.”

Brad laughed. “Oh, so that’s how it is?” He took the shot Zack held out and downed it like it was water. Zack swigged his and forced himself not to make a face.

As soon as they’d set their glasses down, Brad grabbed his hands. “Dance with me.”

Brad led him backward onto the dance floor without even looking, which Zack had to admit was impressive. They danced innocently for three songs before dissolving into sweaty grinding. Zack normally would have been more discreet—he didn’t want some drunk asshole taking issue with two guys dancing together—but by that point, everyone else was drunk and grinding too.

Brad was a much better dancer than Zack. He never lost his rhythm, no matter how many times Zack missed a beat, and he did this half-shimmy thing with his hips that made Zack’s cock pulse in his jeans. The attraction was definitely there, though it wasn’t anywhere near as potent as what Zack had felt with John. Still, it was nice to be wanted, and he couldn’t expect to have the same chemistry with a stranger.

Just as Zack was about to suggest another round of drinks, Brad rolled his body against him in a decidedly sexual way. Zack gulped. Now that had his attention. Brad buried his fingers in Zack’s hair and kissed his jaw. Zack’s hands alighted on Brad’s waist and squeezed, which earned him a moan that he could hear even over the throbbing bass.
