Her confidence grew, and Frazer pressed forward, the kiss all tongue and teeth, messy and delicious as they stumbled up the step. They both jolted as Cora finally hit the table behind her, Frazer’s hands now flat against the wood surface. And even as Cora responded to the kiss, Frazer felt the pause, the flash of hesitancy when Cora pushed up and sat on the table’s edge. Slowly, Cora’s lips moved from Frazer’s, to her jaw, and down against her neck. Warmth spread across her skin as Cora flicked her tongue, warm and wet, against her pulse point.

Her knees weakened. “Cora?”

“Mm?” The humming against her neck wasn’t making this any easier.

“We can stop?”

Cora pulled back, and Frazer nearly groaned. Her bruised lips shone, and when Cora bit on her bottom one, Frazer felt a tug low in her stomach. She could see where this was going as Cora dropped her gaze down. That one time I kissed a woman. Frazer had been that experiment before, but here, now, she didn’t want to be; she didn’t want it to end there.

Those eyes, dark and deep, finally caught her own again. “I don’t want to stop,” Cora said, but Frazer thought maybe she did. “I just, I don’t know how—” Cora stopped as if frustrated with herself, biting her lip and looking up at the ceiling.

So that’s what it was. Damn. How did she tell Cora that Frazer was almost there with merely five minutes of simple kisses? She felt like a seventeen-year-old.

Kissing seemed like Frazer’s best move right now. She smiled at Cora, her voice low. “I’ll show you.”

Cora’s pupils blew wide.

When Frazer kissed her again, Cora grabbed her shirt, hard, and pulled her closer. Frazer decided there and then: if Cora wanted this, even for just one night, then Frazer would make sure it was a night she would remember.

She tugged at the material of Cora’s dress. Frazer pulled it up to sit around the hips, her fingers stroking the bare skin of Cora’s thigh. Soft like silk, warm. Cora obliged and pulled Frazer even closer, now firmly between her legs. Slowly, gently, Frazer ran her fingers along soft skin, feeling Cora roll her hips, drawing a groan that could have been from either of them. The warmth in Frazer’s stomach made her pull her lips down to Cora’s neck, nipping at the skin. Slow. She would be slow. That moment of hesitancy earlier was enough to make Frazer wary of pushing.

But then Frazer bit at Cora’s neck, her tongue immediately soothing the spot, and Cora groaned way in the back of her throat, the sound vibrating against Frazer’s lips.

That was enough.
