She linked their hands and pulled her forward. Kissed her, in a pattern that was becoming disturbing in its comfortable familiarity. Their hands tugged, pulled at clothes. They left them in a trail to Frazer’s bedroom.
In the light that washed in from the hall as Cora’s lips kissed over her abdomen and her tongue made Frazer roll her hips insistently, Frazer couldn’t help but think that Cora had become very, very good at this.
Sometimes Frazer wondered if Cora was gay. Or straight. Or bisexual. She wondered what it all meant. Then she realised that it just didn’t matter.
Because what she was, was married.
It was hours later that Cora stretched against the mattress with Frazer’s eyes tracing her subtle curves, for only a minute. Her chest still rose and fell as she panted, cheeks flushed and lips curved lazily. This wasn’t how Frazer should like her best.
She traced her fingers over Cora’s damp skin.
As Cora stood up and dragged her pants on, half asleep, Frazer let her hand fall away.
“What?” Cora caught her eye.
“What, what?”
“You’re smiling.”
“I just came four times.”
With a laugh, Cora dragged on her shirt. “Yes. But you were thinking something.”
“You have a nice body.”
Head popping through her jumper, Cora flushed. “I’m normal.”
“You asked. That was what I was thinking.”
For a moment that made Frazer’s breath catch, Cora stared at her openly. Frazer had forgotten that she was now the only naked one in the room. “You’re not so bad yourself.”
As if even that was too much, Cora gave a wave and walked out. The door shutting was louder than normal in Frazer’s small house.
Frazer pulled her pillow over her face to cover her grin.

“Are we better?”
Cora looked across at Alec, who stared ahead while asking the question, watching the road as he drove them to work. They’d started driving to work together again. More time together. They were trying.
He’d come in at midnight the night before, no idea she had gone anywhere. Freshly showered, Cora had lain in bed and pretended to be asleep, her heart hammering and trying not to think about whatever that look had been in Frazer’s eye right before she’d left. Or about how Alec, so close to her, had no idea what she was doing behind his back. About how Cora couldn’t seem to stop.
“I think so.”
She didn’t think so. On top of that, she didn’t think he did either. Whenever they reported back to Doctor Massey, discussed their progress, neither of them were ever happy with what the other had done. It led to heated discussions in their sessions that they later pretended had never happened. He would take steps forward to do what Doctor Massey suggested, then three more backwards.
“Good. I cancelled our appointment this week.”
