Charlotte crossed the room to where she’d stashed her belongings. She found what she was looking for and came back, placing a book in both our hands. Asher and I were steaming up the cover with a super sexy pose that made my eyes bulge.
“Wow.” I gaped, glancing around with a sudden urge to make sure no one else was seeing it, which was stupid because this book was going to be everywhere in a few short weeks.
“Holy crap.” Asher touched the cover reverently. “This is… We’re on a book cover.” He nudged me, grinning. “And we look fucking hot as hell.”
“It’s good, isn’t it?” Charlotte said. “The cover reveal and teasers have garnered a crazy amount of attention. With the release of the trailer video, we’re expecting the launch of this series to be one of the biggest releases in the genre to date. My agent is calling it one of the most anticipated series of the year. You two will officially be the faces of Ender and Elliot.”
“It’s crazy to think that,” Asher said. “We’re just nobody university students.”
“Not anymore. Just you wait. Good things are coming.”
Lewis whistled and waved a hand at Charlotte. “Come check this out and tell me what you think, Char.”
“Those copies are for you two.” She winked and excused herself. Once she was out of hearing range, Asher said, “So, Elliot, how’s it feel to be the future faces of twincest everywhere?”
I smirked. “Appropriate.”
“Look at us.” He waved the book in my face. “How ever did we make it so convincing?”
Asher rubbed his chin like he was deep in thought, but he couldn’t conceal the burst of laughter that crept out. It was nice seeing him relaxed and accepting of what we’d been doing on the sidelines. I’d worried at first that it was an experimentation thing, but he’d proven me wrong.
Since Asher’s first time topping a few weeks ago, we’d found time in our hectic schedules to be together more often. He’d stayed at Aaron’s, despite the noise, and on a few occasions, he’d snuck me into his room at home.
At school, we met up for lunch when we could. There was something wild and crazy about what we were doing, but in the same breath, it felt natural. Asher and I fell together like we belonged in each other’s arms. Our intimacy was beyond what either of us had ever experienced in outside relationships, and we savored every moment.
The secrecy somehow didn’t sting as much as I thought it might. In fact, it gave it a thrilling, taboo edge that made the sex and the times we could connect physically that much more powerful and amazing.
