“Of what I did wrong in public last night?”

“No, dear. I rather enjoyed what you did, but of course we should never do it again.”

“Of course.” Jenny winked.

She moved her head from side to side with hair sticking up in every direction. “Let me guess, you’re organizing my day.”

“No, dear.” Ben tried not to notice that the sheet had slipped down away from one breast.

She laughed. “Don’t tell me you’re writing why you are attracted to me.”

“No.” He smiled as her other breast peeked out from the covers. “I’m writing all the reasons why we should move in together.”

“Your place is too small for two, Benjamin. My stuff would never blend into your organized world. And this cabin is too small for me; I’d never get you in here.”

“I agree,” he said, looking at his list. “But there are advantages for us cohabiting. We would save time traveling and save gas by carpooling to work. We could take turns cooking. It would save money on living expenses if we lived together.”

She folded her arms over her bare body and shook her head. “I’m not that interested in saving time or expenses or shortening the commute. We’re both set in our ways. Benjamin, are you trying to convince me, or yourself? If we lived together, I’d have to put up with you not only at school but also at home. I can barely tolerate your habits at the office.”

“What about in bed? Do you tolerate me there?”

She grinned. “That’s definitely a plus. For such a flawed man you do make a perfect lover. Though, you could use a bit more practice.” She pushed the covers away. “I’m willing to help you polish your skills.”

He dropped the tablet and pen and climbed on top of her, his arms bracing her face. “Don’t move, dear. I have to finish my thought before we begin. I want to wake up with you every morning. I don’t want to have to get dressed and go home the next morning.”

Of course, she wiggled.

He was so close she touched her nose to his. “I wouldn’t mind sleeping with you every night, but we don’t have to move in together for that. Tell me how you feel about me, Benjamin, because we are not moving in together to save time.”

He kissed her. “You drive me crazy. You’re not organized. You don’t seem to own a watch. You don’t have boundaries. You treat my body as your own personal play toy, even when we’re in public. You drive me crazy.”

“You already said that.”
