The hand that’s not currently on my ass finds its way to my breast, pushing my cleavage into his mouth and without thinking of what I’m doing, I pull the strap off of my shoulder, letting my dress fall away to expose my entire breast.
Something about this makes Logan lose control as he digs his hips against mine and pulls my nipple into his mouth. My head falls back as the pleasure of his warm tongue against my skin makes something in my body come alive. What was once warmth in the pit of my stomach becomes a scorching heat that is searching, begging for release.
“Logan,” I breathe as I wrap my leg around his body trying to pull him closer. There is no questioning voice in my head anymore. I want him inside of me with nothing between our flesh. Just his body in mine until we are one.
Suddenly, without warning, the warmth of his mouth against my skin is gone. The hungry pressure of his body against mine is gone. He pulls away and looks down at me with his eyebrows pressed down over his eyes and his mouth shut tightly.
“This isn’t right,” he says as he climbs away from me and starts walking away and shaking out his hands as if he’s trying to shake off a feeling.
“What are you talking about?” I ask, breathless. The absence of his body against mine is devastating, and I would do anything to get it back. “I thought that felt incredibly right.”
“You don’t want to do this with me, Sierra.”
“Yes, I do,” I say as I stand and try to approach him, but he’s keeping himself away from me like a scared animal.
“Let’s get back. You should get home.” He starts to walk back to the spot where he parked his bike.
I’m standing dumbfounded as he walks away. The buzz under my skin is gone, and now I just feel cold. Desperation is replaced with frustration and adoration is replaced with anger. I march after him and find him getting on his bike ready to start the engine.
“I honestly don't understand, Logan. What did I do wrong?”
“You’re confused, Sierra. You don’t want someone like me.”
“I know exactly what I want.”
“Get on the bike so I can take you home.”
“No.” I’m nearly shouting as I stand in my soft blue dress, yelling at this tattooed man on a motorcycle as if I’m the intimidating one. “I want answers. Is there someone else? Do you just not want me? Tell me you’re not interested in me, and I’ll go. But I know that’s not it. I can tell you’re keeping something from me.”
“You don't know anything about me, Sierra. We don't know anything about each other, so yes, I’m keeping things from you, although I don’t think any of them would surprise you.”
“Try me.”
“Fine. I’m an addict. Did you know that? Or that I’m a dealer. How does that sound to you? I’ve been in jail too. Still want to let me paw all over your body?”
