- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Wolf stepped back and appeared chagrined. “I’m sorry. I just… This one is a powerful connection. You will end up together. The universe won’t have it any other way.” He gave Hazel a look that was much softer.
She turned to him. “That strong?”
“Inevitable.” He held my folder out to me. “I’ll refund his money.”
“Wait, you have to tell me who it is.” I hugged the folder to my chest.
Hazel and Wolf regarded each other.
Then Hazel gave me a gentle touch. “You know, sweetheart. You already know.”
“Austin?”
Wolf shuffled his feet. “Could it be anyone else?”
“Not for me.”
“Then you have your answer. And your friend that you came with? She has, like, three perfect matches out there, which is another whole story I’ve never felt before.” Wolf stepped back and I opened the door. Sure enough, Tinsley was surrounded by three guys, each talking to her in bursts.
“Oh yeah. That’s going to be a problem.” He frowned.
Hazel sidled next to me. “A problem or a hell of a night,” she said, winking. My eyes went wide at the thought. Could Tinsley be that spicy? I wasn’t sure.
Wolf hung back. “Just wait for him, okay? Don’t force this.”
I nodded. “Thanks.”
“Yeah. Congratulations. We aim to please.” He added one more thing, “Can you get your friend to go home? I need to spend some time with these guys and see what the hell is up.”
“I can try.” I drank a few more glasses of complimentary wine before dragging Tinsley home.
She was a chatterbox, showing me how she had all three numbers in her phone. Each guy was perfect for a different reason.
And my perfect guy was in another country entirely.

Teddi was sitting too close to the screen, but she was excited. “I’m so glad. This year has been a shit cake without you.”
She was taking the news that I was done with Stars Unlimited’s French program well. “You know we’re doing Everyone's a Damn Bride Day again this year, and it’s bigger than ever. I’ll bring you an outfit and Ruffian and I will pick you up at the airport.”
“Is Taylor coming?” I wanted her to be there. Honestly, I was going back to her. For her. She had always been there every time I called. Tinsley refused to tell me how the Booty Camp Dating Service went other than, “We got a lot of numbers.”
The charge on the card never cleared. I hadn’t asked her if she was dating anyone. She was incredible and beautiful and selfless. She broke up with me so I wouldn’t have the guilt of ending our relationship on top of everything else I was feeling.
Teddi looked to her side and then back. “I wasn’t planning on grabbing her, but she’ll be there. We were planning our dresses.”
