Darby found wine glasses in the cupboard and Haley poured.

Darby held her glass up to Eban’s. “Here’s to Happily Ever Afters.”

One side of his mouth kicked up in a sexy grin. “Here’s to Happily Ever Afters with the woman of my dreams.”

“Hear, hear,” Quentin agreed and pulled Haley to him for a long kiss. Then he swallowed his mimosa in one go. “And now we are going to find a hotel and leave you love birds alone. We’ll meet you for dinner.”

Haley started to object, but Quentin collected her things, helped her into her coat. They were in the car and driving away before Darby could do more than stare after them.

“What on earth are we going to do now?” She smiled mischievously up at the man she loved with all her heart.

“Naked hot tubbing?” he suggested with a flash of his brows.

“Later.” She dragged him back toward the bedroom. “I want to know what the next lesson is.”

“The next lesson?” He stopped and pulled her to him, backed her against the wall.

He finally let her up for air.

“In the seduction handbook.” She touched her buzzing lips in wonder.

He pulled her pajama bottoms down, and she kicked them off as he slipped an arm around her waist. He lifted her until she wrapped her legs around his hips.

“I was thinking the next chapter involved some positional data.”

“I am an expert on positional data.” Her eyes went wide, and her mouth dropped open when he pressed his hard length against her hot core.

“I thought you might be.” He nipped her throat, holding her up with one hand while the other began undoing the buttons of her nightshirt.

“I think I might like this chapter.”

“I hope so.” Then he kissed her, and she stopped thinking at all.

The End

Thanks so much for reading Eban and Darby’s story. I hope you enjoyed it.

Are you ready for my new “Cold Justice – Most Wanted” series? Order COLD SILENCE today!

The stories begin with one of Alex Parker’s white-hat hackers and a member of the FBI’s elite Hostage Rescue Team racing against time to stop a serial killer who is auctioning his dark deeds in cyberspace. Read an excerpt today…

A living nightmare was playing out in real time on Yael Brooks’s monitor.

Horrifying didn’t begin to cover it.

Her fingers raced over the keyboard as she scanned the flow of information streaming onto her second screen. She was searching for the location of the computer currently playing a live feed of a young woman strapped to a stainless-steel gurney in a room with breeze-block walls and a cement floor.

The atmosphere in the Command Center was taut. The Joint Task Force had taken over a corner of the FBI’s Houston Field Office. The people assembled consisted of agents from cybercrimes, FBI headquarters, a large group from the FBI’s Critical Incident Response Group including profilers, negotiators, and operators from the Hostage Rescue Team, agents from the local field office and the original detective who’d been hunting this killer since the first known murder in Georgia. It also included a small team of civilians, including herself and some of her colleagues from Cramer, Parker & Gray.
