Elle did go and hang out with Pot Roast—and from her feed, they’ve been hanging out loads.
What else, what else? RUBY AND TEMI. Are together!!! Their date on Christmas Eve led to them snogging after their final panto performance. OH NO THEY DIDN’T! OH YES THEY DID!
Fred was a bit of a sad sack, cos he said he’d packed his heart in Elle’s suitcase and it may never return. Still, I told him I’d help save for a trip back. Evil cackle. If only he knew?!
Funny. I really thought all the changes meant Christmas would be ruined, but this year everything was different, totally off plan, and it was my best yet. Although, Mum has promised, wherever we live, we can always come back for Carol’s singing. That’s one thing I’m not missing out on.
AND BEST BIT? It’s the fifth of January today and for the first time ever, our decorations are still UP. But how could we take anything down? Because when Jess said they’d planned something big for their “proper” Christmas in January, I’d had no idea what she was planning.
Elle’s sponsors were so impressed with her new style of posts, they offered her loads more travel. So that was her last surprise for our mums. She’d been working on it the whole time. Helping fix something Jess had wanted to do for ages…coming to visit where she had Christmas as a child. Elle, Pete, and Colin had worked out the details, and the big reveal was on Christmas Day on our video call. Elle totally played it down and said it was only fair as I’d done all of her list after all. WHAT A LEGEND (especially as I’d already got the best thing ever from that, a.k.a. snogging her brother in the airport OMGHOWHOT). Anyway, it means any second, we’re leaving to pick them up. ALL OF THEM—Nick and Elle too. I couldn’t BE more excited.
It’s going to be the BEST SURPRISE ever for Fred.
ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS CRACKER!! I can’t believe Elle and I managed to keep it quiet!
Ruby’s coming to the airport with us, and Naomi’s staying behind to make the thank-you Christmas Treefle as she wants Elle to know what a star she is for sorting her flights. Imagine, two months ago, I was panicking about Christmas not just being the three of us—and now I’m buzzing we’re having one two weeks late and with ten people?!
If this is a yearly tradition—I’m INTO it.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS & MERRY CHRISTMAS & MAY ALL YOUR DAYS BE FILLED WITH MALTESER REINDEERS.
