Even in dreamland, Goldie was unable to come to grips with what had happened. She woke up in a cold sweat. Immediately, she reached inside her purse and grabbed a brownish-looking medicine bottle. She unscrewed the top, took two pills out and placed them in her mouth. Using only saliva, she washed them down. Just the mere thought of how good they were going to make her feel lifted her spirits. She was happy to be escaping her own personal hell, however brief it was.
In the following weeks, desperation began to set in on Goldie. The money Kat had given her was just about gone. She spent her money on three things, eating out, feeding her drug habit and paying rent. She had no money coming in, so this was bound to happen. But Goldie never took that into account. Her mind was clouded by the drugs she was using. When she came to the realization that she didn’t have any more drugs and was low on cash, she began to panic. She had to revert to the quickest way she knew to make good money, stripping.
She began to search the area for local strip clubs. As chance would have it, she came upon one of the most prominent strip clubs in New York City. One of the best on the whole entire East Coast. It was called Sue’s Rendezvous. This club was world renowned for it’s beautiful strippers. It boasted the best of the best, cream of the crop. Many strippers who thought they fit the bill soon learned otherwise. The club was very particular whom they let dance there. Because they had an A-list of celebrities who frequented the club on any given night, they couldn’t afford to let some two-bit stripper ruin their business. So they reserved the right to be selective.
Goldie was a cutie; her body was still intact. She hadn’t slipped that far, to where she neglected her looks. Sue’s Rendezvous management was impressed by her looks. Being Hispanic was another thing in her favor. The club featured lots of beautiful Latino women. Goldie could hold her own in the beauty department against the best they had to offer. So fortunately for her, they liked her. They hired her on the spot.
Unlike most strip clubs, where the stripper had to resort to extreme measures for chump change, at Sue’s Rendezvous, the patrons spoiled the girls. They lavished them with big bills. It was nothing to get a hundred dollars for a lap dance. Men literally sat at the bar with stacks of bills, handing them out to whoever caught their eye. It is safe to say these strippers were taken care of.
