Whenever she was in Black’s presence, she always felt the need to look her best, even after he’d shit on her when she got arrested. It was like he had a hold on her that she couldn’t shake off. She was so green to the game that she didn’t realize how he was manipulating her.
Whenever Black wanted her to do something for him, he would fuck her real good while spitting wonderful game to her. Like many females, she confused it all with love. Sadly, for Cenise, the very person who she thought loved her was secretly plotting against her.
“What tha hell?” Arnessa questioned aloud, sitting in the driver’s seat of the Denali and watching four guys getting out of a navy-blue Escalade in front of Jimbo’s. She had a perfect view from where she was parked on the uptown side of Lenox Avenue.
“You know them?” Kisa asked.
“You don’t know who dude is with the mink jacket on?”
Kisa looked at him but still didn’t recognize him. She thought he was doing too much with three platinum chains around his neck and big iced-out medallions hanging from each one. The diamond bezel on his watch was huge, noticeable even from across the street. His eyes were covered in the latest Gucci frames, a Yankee cap sat cocked on the right side of his head, and he wore diamond earrings the size of quarters in each ear. “Nah, I don’t know him,” Kisa replied.
“That’s Suef. You don’t remember him that night from the club?”
“I didn’t really see him that night, everything happened so fast.” Kisa looked back in his direction, frowning, “So this clown-ass nigga is Suef? This the nigga causing all the ruckus, looking like a fucking idiot with all that extra shit on.”
“Yeah, that’s him, and I wanna know why he here.”
“Nessa, you know why he here. This shit ain’t no coincidence. He the one who set baby girl up. Who them niggas wit’ him?”
“The slim one is Trenton—that’s who ran up on Cenise that time. Dude in the black is Abdul; you should remember him from the club—he the one you tripped. I don’t know him, though,” Arnessa said, pointing at the fourth guy.
“Yo, I put money on it dude is Black,” Kisa said, noting his very dark complexion, how cute he was, and that he was obviously the youngest of the four.
